Matchday 12: Captain Future

The Offside: Bundesliga 10 November @ 02:09 PM EST

The clubs at the top of the table keep crawling along. The clubs at the bottom keep sinking. Referees had a forgettable weekend and in between a player and a coach dropped bombshells.

Philipp Lahm. Bayern's disappointing draw at home against Schalke. Robben's moment of madness for which he should have seen a red card.

Befreiung für Gladbach

Bundesliga Blog 02 November @ 11:31 AM EST

Bayern aim to continue recovery

Premiership Talk Blog 30 October @ 07:00 AM EST

Media criticism, internal criticism, huge injury concerns, a long winless streak, and the list goes on. In September, such was the state of affairs at Allianz Arena that new manager Louis van Gaal appeared to be on his way out of the Bavarian club sooner rather than later.

Weekend Soccer Television Schedule - 3/4 October 2009

World Club Rankings 01 October @ 04:06 PM EST

Okay, I'm getting close to just throwing up my hands on ESPN, especially ESPN Deportes, who refuse to post schedules more than several hours ahead of time for the weekend. I know ESPND is likely to broadcast both German and Spanish football this weekend, but I don't know which matches. I could guess, for example I find it hard to believe that between GolTV and ESPND, nobody is going to broadcast the Barcelona match, but as of the moment I'm writing this, nobody claims to be – but then ESPND isn't "claiming" to have determined anything it's showing this weekend, so who the Hell knows?

Perhaps the most difficult to do this week (aside from getting information on ESPN 360's schedule while in Europe) is limiting the games in the list of the weekly best to just five. Unlike a few weeks ago, there are no major marquee matchups, but there are just so many good ones to choose from.
