As Striker Liker Christopher Walsh put it on the Ultras facebook page "The blood letting
continues..." Yes, not long ago Coach Shore assured the fans on Miami Ultras Alive #30 (see minute
21) that he expected to keep the majority of his ALMOST championship team.
We've already seen a number of Strikers players packing their bags and moving to other teams.
The Strikers could have wrapped up the game versus the Atlanta Silverbacks in the first 45 minutes
of their game this past Saturday at Lockhart stadium. They had a myriad of shots and chances, yet
their lousy aim thwarted each effort. The second half was a whole different story as Atlanta nearly
beat the Strikers with a 90th minute goal.
Wednesday evening saw three NASL matches played in the shadows of the always-intense USA-Mexico
friendly which marked the debut of USMNT coach Jurgen Klinsmann. But the NASL clubs put on a good
show, as the Fort Lauderdale Strikers increased their winning streak to three games by defeating
NSC Minnesota 1-0, while the Puerto Rico Islanders recorded their second consecutive shutout by
downing the Atlanta Silverbacks 2-0 in Bayamon.

Who will soon be leaving the Union? In a story that is otherwise a yawner—now that he's
actually gone, the Philadelphia Inquirer's Marc Narducci offers some criticism of Carlos Ruiz and
says the Union are better off without him—is included a piece of very big news for Union fans.
Describing the efforts the Union have underway to acquire a "young international striker" in the
summer transfer window, a source tells Narducci that the Union "will make another move with one of
their own players.

Roger Torres: Player Profile | Union Dues
If you ask me, we need to see more of Roger in the game, maybe bring him in for Paunovic
sometime to switch up the pace and mentality of the game, which is always a good thing in games
where we are headed to a tie.

A very hearty thank you and big congratulations to Kyle Nakazawa for his wonderfully successful
Team Dinner charity event on Thursday night in support of autism awareness. The PSP had the
pleasure of dining with Amobi Okugo, one of the many Union players who made the time to support the
event.
NASL Week 14 consisted of two reversals of fortune, as NSC Minnesota beat the Carolina RailHawks
1-0 Saturday to break Carolina's 13 game unbeaten streak, while the Atlanta Silverbacks got only
their second win of the season, holding on for a 3-2 victory in Fort Lauderdale over the
Strikers.

On Wednesday evening, the long-awaited first installment of the new NASL Florida derby kicked
off, as the Fort Lauderdale Strikers hosted FC Tampa Bay. Both teams came away with a point in a
1-1 tie. In Montreal, interim Coach Nick De Santis, replacing Marc Dos Santos after his
resignation earlier this week, guided the Impact to a scoreless draw with the 2010 D2 champion
Puerto Rico Islanders.

If there were any doubts that Etienne Barbara deserved to be the NASL Player of the Month in
April they were erased over the weekend.
Barbara netted a double in a dominating 3-1 win for the over FC Tampa Bay to send make the
Carolina Railhawks, at least for now, even with Puerto Rico at the top of the NASL table.
With the news of the Ft. Lauderdale Strikers bringing in former Philadelphia Union starters,
midfielder Eduardo Coudet, and defenders Cristian Arrieta and Toni Stahl, is the news that the
Carolina Railhawks signing Brad Knighton and Nick Zimmerman.
The Railhawks were rumored to have used Knighton in a preseason game and now it appears that
they were true.
The Strikers continue to make noise. This weekend they released their new logo. Miami Ultras
President Pieter Brown made some great observations on the design. Read about it HERE.
Following the logo, yesterday the Strikers announced the signing of experienced midfielder Eduardo
"Chacho" Coudet.
"Players like Coudet are very hard to find, his professional
experience will be a great addition to our team.
Former Philadelphia Union midfielder Eduardo Coudet is set to sign with the Ft. Lauderdale
Strikers, a team source told the Brotherly Game.
The Argentine and former River Plate midfielder played in nine games for the Union after signing
with the team, after a short trial including a game against Scottish side Celtic, in July of
2010.
Seattle set a high bar for expansion teams in 2009. And it was clear early on that the Union
would struggle to reach similar heights during their inaugural campaign.
Still, 31 points from 30 games did not do justice to a team that seemed to undo quality
performances with sudden and unexpected errors.

Before the Union won the rights to Chris Agorsor they announced that Eduardo Coudet had been
waived, thus ending weeks of speculation about his status with the club. The addition of Agorsor
combined with the subtraction of Coudet means that the club's roster remains at 25 players.
