There still 9 spots left for the World Cup. But one thing is for sure: 32 is not enough for the
number of cool nations around. We are still months away from the World Cup, but here are nations
that we already miss. And the reason we miss them? Some of them,at some point in some edition of
the tournament, played nice football.

.What a dramatic turnaround? Well it seems a never ending saga with Diego Armando Maradona being
inside a football stadium, be it in the field or out of it. Argentina scraped 0-1 past Uruguay, who
were reduced to ten men. However, it was overall a poor match in terms of football qualities.
Lionel Messi again failed [.

Fueron dos años que parecieron bastante más. Hoy, uno desde que renucnió Basile. Se lo llama
"proceso", "calvario" o sencillamente "eliminatorias".

ayudar.

Unless if Gabon or Bahrain qualify, it looks we'll only have one debutante at the World Cup next
summer.
Slovakia is in for the first time since they split from the Czech Republic. An own goal by Poland's
Seweryn Gancarczyk early in the first half was enough for the Slovaks to break through in snowy

No shock after all as Argentina made it to the Finals after downing Uruguay 1-0 in Montivideo
thanks to an 84th minute goal from Mario Balotti. Emotional scenes followed the final whistle as
Diego Maradona and old Carlos Bilardo hugged each other in ecstatic relief. The albiceleste's task
had been made easier by Chile eliminating Ecuador, ensuring at least a play-off spot, Uruguay's
consolation.

interesting as Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay would always qualify for the final tournament, while
two or three other side used to fought for one remaining place. This is so not the case this term

It's because of the mess that Argentina is in that more attention is not being paid to Uruguay.
Talk to people who follow the team or live down there and you hear tales of malaise and depression.
Beyond having low expectations for the national team, people are losing interest. Only 30,000
people showed up for the Round 16 win over Colombia: twenty thousand less than came to see the
Brazil match in Round 14, forty thousand less than capacity.
