In his eleven seasons playing in MLS, Eddie Robinson has only played for one team. In 2001,
Robinson signed on with the San Jose Earthquakes and he stayed with the team when it moved to
Houston in 2006 and was rechristened as the Houston Dynamo. During his tenure, Robinson became a
fan favorite for his rough, no nonsense style of defense, despite the fact that he was prone to
injury and being carded.
In the spirit of full transparency, and wasting no time since the balloting was announced, I am
jumping in with both feet and giving you my picks for Dynamo Theory's 2011 Creamsicle Awards.
Hopefully, we can finish the year and start the next with a healthy discussion and debate on
reviewing what was, for me, the most fun Houston Dynamo season that didn't have a trophy-winning
celebration at the end of it.
Several media sources are reporting that the new Dynamo Stadium will be named BBVA Compass
Stadium. The deal is reportedly worth $20 million over 10 years for the team, not to shabby but not
as much as you might expect. In all likelihood the team sold the best deal they could and will use
the next ten season building the brand even more to help get an even bigger second deal in the
future, much like they did with the shirt sponsorship.
"Ok. You guys both see that women waving in the black top over there? Wow." said the ref.The San
Jose Earthquakes are still a ways off from getting final approval for a soccer-specific stadium,
but as they continue to push for it more and more details are coming out about its proposed design.
Here is the official schedule of events in Houston this week as the Dynamo prepare to face the
Los Angeles Galaxy in the 2011 MLS Cup Final on Sunday.

If you've been following along on the construction of the new Dynamo Stadium, you are no doubt
aware that a lot of progress has been made since the project got underway just a few months ago. We
now have much of the skeleton of the stadium in place and while there is still much to finish, you
can't help but be excited.
Bate player, Filippe described this Barca team as made of outer space creatures and definitely
Barcelona produced a display to honour that compliment. FC Barcelona won their first match of this
year's Champions League season with a 5-0 result at the Dynamo stadium. This is our first away
victory in all official matches till now.

Slowy but surely we're learning more about the new Dynamo Stadium. The most recent bit of
information comes in the form of a stadium drawing that identifies seating sections and where the
supporters group will be placed. It gives you a good idea of the seating layout and lets you
starting thinking about where to get your season tickets if you are so inclined.

HOUSTON, TX (Tuesday, May 17, 2011) -- The Houston Dynamo and Dr Pepper Snapple Group (NYSE:
DPS) have reached a long-term sponsorship agreement, it was announced today.
Big news from the site of the new Dynamo Stadium, tomorrow afternoon Manhattan Construction will
begin pouring the concrete foundations for the new building. It may not sound super exciting, but
it's a huge step towards the new home of the Dynamo opening next spring.
There should be plenty of photos from the event as the team has invited the media, so I'll be
sure to post whatever I can find so we can all ogle at what will become the backbone of our
favorite team's new home for years to come.
Zach and Jordan are back to access two straight Dynamo losses and decide if it's time to panic
with a tough four match stretch on the horizon. We also talk about the new Dynamo Stadium and Zach
rants about MLS referees.
Send you questions, thoughts and comments to dtblogstaff[at]gmail.
Here's a slideshow of the progress made so far at the site of the new Dynamo Stadium. Most of
the prep work is done and actual construction of the stadium itself is getting
underway...EXCITING!!
A huge thanks to NewTex for taking the photographs and allow me to post them here.
The supporters section at the new Dynamo Stadium is filling up, but there is still time for you
to become a part of what will be the loudest and most passionate section in the Dynamo's new home
next season. There are 25 days left to place your $50 deposit on season tickets and the longer you
wait, the more extra benefits you'll miss out on.
I happened to be watching my Twitter feeds tonight and something caught my eye. It was a tweet
from Rocky Harris himself with a link to a video of the construction ongoings of the new Dynamo
Stadium downtown. It's quite possibly the best look at the construction we've seen to date, and to
top it off they take a little time to show some of where things will be and how things are
situated.
We asked three questions to Zach Woosley of Dynamo Theory in order to get some insider
perspective on the Houston Dynamo as the travel to Toyota Park to take on the Chicago Fire tonight.
Zach did not pose any questions to Hot Time in Old Town but Mr. Woosley does have a lot on his
plate. In addition to managing Dynamo Theory, you might be familiar with his other website Ginge
Talks The Footy, his work as a co-creator of Winning Ugly Radio, or his co-hosting of Around the
League.

With only two weeks left till opening day for the Houston Dynamo, who host Philadelphia Union on
Saturday March 19th, time to start up a weekly roundup focusing on my local club.
The Dynamo have been out of town for the past couple weeks, playing preseason matches in Phoenix
and Orlando, but are currently back in Houston and will be playing the SMU team on Saturday at
11:00 am over at the Carl Lewis Field.
The Houston Dynamo broke ground for its new stadium this past weekend, another success and step
forward for soccer in America. The 22,000-seat downtown stadium will open in 2012. For Dynamo fans,
this has been a long tough battle, and now the two-time MLS Cup winners will have a place to call
their own.
Over the last year or so, we have discussed MLS' efforts to measure the value of its television
exposure through various local and national broadcasts. Through the website criticalmention.com,
MLS tries to alert media to the "value" of its presence on various television programs. Since a
few weeks have passed since we last checked in on this metric, we thought providing a snapshot of
this metric of MLS media exposure.
The Houston Dynamo have released an amazing promotional video to begin the marketing push for
the new Dynamo Stadium.
Groundbreaking is tomorrow, but for now, enjoy this video and I dare you not to be not only
excited about the new stadium but the upcoming season as well!
