The Brazillians have long been regarded as the Kings of football, widely considered the most
stylish, attractive and best football team in the world.
The samba stars have produced a long line of brilliant individuals: Pele, Zico, Romario,
Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo, the list goes on.

Yes, despite cara's hectic schedule with the selecao late last week, Brazil's

questions. En realidad, we spent the whole day running in the airport and walking in the

For their final fixture of the year, Brazil take on Oman in Muscat this Tuesday.
Coached by French man Claude Le Roy, Oman are ranked 79th in the world. Brazil are expected to
win comfortably but Dunga added a note of caution: "They're a strong team and have experienced
athletes who play abroad.

Poor Amauri... at the rate things are going for RobinHood's
long lost cousin, he'll never find a national team to call his own! Before you blame it on

It is hard to see England overcome Brazil even if they were at full strength with Steven
Gerrard, Frank Lampard, Rio Ferdinand, John Terry, and Glen Johnson given how the Brazilians moved
with ease around the pitch. Meanwhile, the English attack was barely able to make a dent.
Fabio Capello probably knows by now that Brazil is the team to beat.

With the World Cup in sight, most of this weekend's attention will be towards the remaining
qualifiers, but there are a few high-profile friendlies on tap today that might be just as
exciting.
England-Brazil is one of those matches, as the Three Lions will took to topple Brazil for the
first time since 1990, a stretch of seven games that includes a 2-1 loss in the quarterfinals
of the 2002Â World Cup.

The meeting of one great footballing mind and Dunga
Brazil take on England in Doho, Qatar, for the first of three international friendlies before
the World Cup finals in South Africa next year.
Dunga's men see the England game as a real test against one of their main contenders in the
competition in 2010.

disposizione.

Following the story blowing up this morning, a potential problem has been averted with Robinho
ruling himself out of this weekends friendly with England:

£32.5m signing from Real Madrid. "But my obligation is to be here and that is supported by
Fifa.

Cris gets a header in
Following injuries to Luisão and Fábio Aurélio, Brazil coach Dunga has called up defender
Cris from Lyon for the matches against England on Saturday and Oman three days later.
The 32-year-old has appeared 22 times for his country scoring just once. Cris' last game for
Brazil was in in the 1-0 vs Russia in March 2006.

The World Cup is almost set in terms of the teams that will qualify and once the play-offs are
completed it will be clear whether the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Thierry Henry and Franck Ribery
will be present or missing. In the meantime, Sweden's talented forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic will
certainly not be going to the World Cup after his country failed to qualify from the same group
which saw eventual winners Denmark earn automatic qualification and runners-up Portugal reach the
play-offs.

Who needs actual footballing playoffs when you can just watch the bureaucratic battle that is
club v country?
Whilst Portugal v Bosnia Herzegovina is titillating the football purist and Russia v Slovenia
has forced Jonathan Wilson into euphoric bouts of nervous bowels, the real battle lies behind the
scenes, in the board rooms, between those who cut the checks and those who require international
glory.

Fabio Aurelio is winning his battle to be fit to return to action on Monday – and to take his
place in the Brazil squad for the first time.
Aurelio, who is in the last year of his current contract, has missed Liverpool's last two games
against Fulham and Lyon with a calf problem.
His form before that, though, had been good enough to catch the eye of Brazil coach Dunga, who will
take Aurelio and Reds midfielder Lucas to Qatar for next Saturday's friendly with England.

With much of the qualification process almost complete and South Africa 2010 looming large, it
would make sense to assess some of the world's best custodians who will be present during the World

to qualify for next summer's big event.

Para que não se repetissem casos como os de Deco e Pepe, Dunga não hesitou e convocou Hulk. É o

Dunga announced today the players who will play the last 2 matches of the year (against England

clubs (and therefore was unable to call Adriano and Diego Tardelli), he called forward Hulk. But he
wasn't the only surprise.

Flamengo v Fluminense, Brazil
Over the coming weeks we'll be giving you the run down on the World's most passionate and
fiercest rivalry in football. We start our list with two Brazilian giants.

Known as ‘Fla-Flu' this is Brazil's most passionate rivalry, dating back to 1911 when 9
Fluminense players quit the club to form Flamengo, which at the time was just a rowing club, any

The injury-laced success of Fat Ronaldo since he's joined Corinthians has evidently not gone

There's nothing that can be demanded from Dunga and his players.
The team was already qualified, which turned the match against Bolivia into a open lab in the

meters above sea level suffocated the players.

Down and out in La Paz
A lacklustre Brazil went down 2-1 in La Paz against Bolivia and so ended Dunga's team's 19 game
unbeaten run.
Olivares and Marcelo Moreno had given the homeside a two-goal cushion before  Nilmar pulled one
back in the second-half. The combination of high altitude and poor attitude meant that Brazil
rarely threatened and the whole match had that ‘end of season' feel to it.

good seasons for São Paulo and Palmeiras respectively but have yet to secure a place in the squad
for next year's finals.
