If Paul Jewell were to be sacked today, I really don't think I'd feel any sorrow.

The two Scott Gallagher programs, Metro (based in Collinsville) and Missouri (the original club in St Louis) faced off in the first of two derby games between the two US Development Academy teams on Sunday.

In the U17/18 game, Metro won by a narrow 1-0 margin to move into a 2nd place tie with Sporting KC.

Drury men's soccer coach Ryan Swan has announced a nine-player recruiting class of incoming Panthers for the 2011 season.

The Panthers are coming off an 11-7-0 campaign in 2010 that included a 9-5 record in Great Lakes Valley Conference competition, but lost 12 graduating seniors off that squad.

The men's programs at Missouri State and Drury have gotten together to host a series of Spring matches the next two weekends at their respective pitches.

This Saturday, April 2nd, the Missouri State Bears play host at Plaster Stadium.

Game Schedule:
1:00 pm Missouri State vs Mid-America Nazerene
2:45 pm – Drury vs NEO A&M
4:30 pm – Drury vs Mid-America Nazarene
6:15 pm – Missouri State vs NEO A&M

Next weekend, Drury will play host and Crowder College and Benedictine (KS) will be on hand at Harrison Stadium to each play against Missouri State and Drury.

INDIANAPOLIS- Former Greyhound assistant coach Kiley Cirillo has been named the fifth head coach in UIndy women's soccer history, effective Jan. 1, 2011. Cirillo, an assistant under former head coach Geoff VanDeusen for the past two seasons, will make his return to the head coaching sidelines in 2011.
