The Independent has run a story today which claims that Wayne Rooney and Sir Alex
Ferguson have fallen out which has lead to the striker looking for a move away from the club,
again.
Acting quickly, in a statement issued last night by the club and Rooney's agent, Paul Stretford,
it was confirmed that Rooney has no intention of leaving United.

What are the odds on Rooney scoring the winner against Newcastle? Derek McGovern's Bets
of the Day
It wasn't a good weekend to be a Manchester United supporter, what with floods still hitting
Thailand and Surrey reeling from the rising cost of train travel. There were two things United fans
did not want to see on Saturday – Wayne Rooney behind frosted glass and David De Gea behind the
defence.
The end of the year is here, and it's time for you to draw up your own Player XI list! Who has
made your starting line-up? Here's Futbolita's Team of 2011, including our six substitutes (because
you never know who could get injured from all that paella or partying!) We've also included the
super Robin van Persie, Kun Aguero, and Nemanja Vidic in our team.
Drinks are on Mario Yet another great Mario Balotelli story has broken with news of the latest of
the Italian's regular random acts of kindness. The Manchester City striker popped into a Manchester
pub to put £1,000 behind the bar for festive drinkers before heading to Midnight Mass. Balotelli
called into The Tudor pub in [.
Why England's 2011 form is no cause for optimism
Saw Fabio Capello at a drinks reception the other night. He was in bullish mood. After an
unbeaten 2011, some England supporters might share his infectious positivity. And maybe it was the
vino — but I also began to optimistically wonder what 2012 might bring for the English team.
Well, would you believe it? It seems as if progress is on the Arsenal horizon with chief bod
Ivan Gazidis seemingly open to ideas from Gooners on improving the atmosphere at the Emirates.
Revealtions this morning on Twitter suggest that the club are pondering the option of booting away
fans upstairs in the Clock End, thus allowing home supporters cheaper seats and improving the unity
at that end.

As you know, Sounder at Heart does not have any official supporters' group affiliation. We do,
however, consider ourselves friends of most of them. If you'd like to know any of them better, we
highly recommend that you attend one of their two end-of-year parties. As it turns out, Kasey
Keller is scheduled to be at both of them.

Atrás quedaron cuatro meses de versiones periodísticas (entre las que se cuentan

`There was no hope left. No one even shouted at the players.' Conversation over post-match drinks
with a Coventry-supporting friend on Tuesday night was dominated by such sentiments. Toning down my
personal delight at City's 3-0 capitulation at Millwall, I murmured in sympathy. The draining away
of hope among the Sky Blues in the Den's North Stand was not dissimilar to the feeling elicited by
Why wait until March to experience the thrill of guessing wrong about sports? With the Major League
Soccer playoffs "kicking off" on Wednesday night (play-in game, anyone?), tomorrow is the perfect
time to pass this handy bracket around the ol' water cooler and get your co-workers into the
semi-shady world of sports betting a few months early.

Wooh! It's the day of Thurs, which according to our scientific calculations means we have about
twenty-four hours before we can justify sneaking weekend drinks into work. And if that wasn't too
much merriment to handle right there, the Euro 2012 play-off draw has been made.

Exclusive update: Chivas made an advert today spoofing the Axe commercials.
Sometimes we think the MLS has pulled a NOTW and wire tapped our HQ's phones because
their events align themselves perfectly with our foul-minded office convos.
Capello is right: alcohol DOES cast a shadow over our game
In football, just as in our society as a whole, there is a booze culture that is careering
out of control. So, I was interested to hear Fabio Capello say Andy Carroll drinks too much. I have
no idea whether the Liverpool star has been hitting the bottle too hard, but I know today's
players are the product of a system that makes it tough for clubs to educate them how to
refuel.
While you all pause to witness history in the making, we've taken the liberty of scrapping
together the odd observation or two about the Beckhams out at Maxfield earlier today just so you
don't have to. See, we're real people with real drinks to get back to, too!
And so we say: David, still hot.

I've been watching football in South East Asia for a number of years now and crowd misbehaviour,
while not as widespread as is made out, does happen on occasion. Not the all out brawls that
plagued the game in England for so long but still enough to poison the atmosphere.
Kingdom of Football is reporting that fans of Prek Pra Keila recently turned a bit nasty after some
refereeing decisions didn't go their way during their CLeague game with Build Bright University at
the Olympic Stadium in Phnom Penh.
More great China pictures
Liverpool ended their second full day in China by attending a gala drinks ceremony in Guangzhou
and delighted the invited guests by showing off their skills in a variety of organised games.

WORLD CUP WATCH PARTY
The Brew Top Pub & Patio and Missouri Comets of the MISL will host a party to watch US Women in
Semi-Finals
So if you are looking for somewhere to watch the Women's World Cup game in Missouri, join the
Comets and Brew Top Pub & Patio of Lee's Summit. The US Women's team has captured the hearts of the
nation after their gutsy performance in their come-from-behind victory over Brazil.
We've all seen it before. A man or lady approaches a burly fellow holding a clipboard. He is the
gatekeeper and behind him is a passageway into an exclusive club where the music is loud, the
drinks flow freely and the people seem to be having the...

Well here's something that was bound to happen: the Church of Barça as led by Preacher
Pique!
Not really, but it is fun to think fondly about all the saintly things he's got under that
robe.
Moving on. Gerard Pique is one of several footballers starring in a new religious-themed Sky
Sports Italia commercial.
Hearts drinks sponsor MacB withdraws backing in wake of Craig Thomson child sex scandal
With the first matches of the Women's World Cup occurring today, the U.S. team took the chance
to switch from players to spectators, watching a bit of France-Nigeria in their rooms and then
piling into the team lounge to watch Germany-Canada via Slingbox, so they could hear the English
commentary and see the ESPN broadcast.
Look who were having drinks together in Jakarta last night! It's Giovanni van Bronckhorst and

Cheryl and Ashley Cole in happier times. Image via rex features
Those of you lucky enough to have a subscription to the News Of The World's online edition will
surely still be rubbing your eyes in disbelief after seeing the world exclusive the paper carried
last Sunday. According to the headline, Cheryl Cole, former wife of Chelsea's Ashley had brought
new meaning to the word 'forgiving' by moving back in with the gun totin' left back.
I'm not going to do a preview. There's no point. Everyone know's what the situation is, who's
fit, who's in form etc. According to Accrington's manager, the tie's already over, so what's the
point in previewing it.
Here's Coleman's quote to the local Lancashire paper which says it all really.
Do you ever skim through the hot-off-the-press football strips and flush green with envy
because your club have churned out yet another eye-sore? If your answer to this question is yes,
then read on. If not, consider yourself lucky...
First of all I must say those who support a classic coloured team gain an advantage come post
season.
Michael Ballack has taken the time out to speak of Chelsea and their quest for Champions League
glory. Ballack knows only too well what defeat in the final stages of the Champions League feels
like and reveals just how much Moscow hurt us but, believes Chelsea and the players still have a
hunger and desire to win the worlds best club competition.
Wes Brown, who has been in Sir Alex Ferguson's bad books since jokingly calling him a "cunt"
last summer after a few drinks on our tour of the US, has today claimed he hopes Manchester United
win the record 19th title this summer for the boss.
"It would be amazing for the players and a great feeling for fans," said Brown.
So that's it. The final Interlull of the season is done and dusted and now we just wait to make
sure that the players who went away are in good enough shape to take part this weekend.
As per usual there was a scare over Robin van Persie. He was the victim of a heavy challenge
from a Hungarian and taken off at half-time, but according to Dutch coach Berk van Narwahl:
He got kneed in his thigh.
Last night, the Philadelphia Union held a rescheduled version of the Meet the Players event. The
gathering at PPL Park offered fans to get autographs from and take pictures with their favorite
Union players.
The event has been referred to by many as a rousing success. But not all of the fans that made
the trek to PPL were able to experience this event in its entirety.

This just in: our very own Kickette Men's Underpants Research Institute has concluded that
lighter-coloured shorts are 73%* more likely to offer the best view of a short-tent and/or bulge.
What's more, we read an equally reputable article the other day that reinforced our findings about
the importance of kit colour.
While the players are away, the stadiums play. This is pretty dope...almost makes me wish I was
physically fit enough to get strapped in and shoot off to Stratton or someplace for the weekend.
Sadly, with my love of BBQ & Chinese food being what it is the only thing I would be good for is
keeping the fireplace going and mixing the drinks because weebles don't ride well.
