After they were well and truly trounced 5-1 at home by West Brom yesterday, a result that put
them back in the bottom three, Wolves have sacked Mick McCarthy an announcement that I actually
expected to come before close of play yesterday truth be told.
Cardiff City keeper Tom Heaton was the hero for the Bluebirds as they edged out Crystal Palace in
an absorbing cup clash at the Cardiff City Stadium.
Heaton saved two penalties in the shoot-out to send Cardiff to the Carling Cup Final at the expense
of Dougie Freedman's spirited Palace side.
Rumours are rife about Liverpool's alleged interest in 19-year old Crystal Palace striker Wilfred
Zaha, but is the interest real, or is it just another made-up rumour? According to Crystal Palace
manager Dougie Freedman, both Liverpool and Manchester United are interested in signing the England
U19 International.

to discuss the 19-year-old's ability and character.

You'll have read that we've been charged by the Football Association on seven counts relating to
the signing, back in 2009, of our midfielder Ale Faurlin.
While the miserly defences of Championship promotion contenders QPR and Swansea have been much
feted, the recent achievements of Crystal Palace's back four have been rather less trumpeted.
Here's Eagles fan Will to give them and the club's new owners the credit and recognition they
deserve.Dougie Freedman has a problem.
Everton striker James Vaughan has been loaned back to Crystal Palace for the remainder of the
season. After Vaughan began this season on a three month loan, the striker is headed back to help
keep Crystal Palace in the second tier.
The 22-year-old made 14 appearances, scoring five goals during his brief Championship spell.
"The most difficult challenge of my life". That was how Dougie Freedman
described the task facing him after Crystal Palace's latest heavy away defeat at Swansea which kept
his beloved Eagles deep in the relegation mire. The 36-year-old is a legend in these parts of South
