Good draw for England in the Euro 2012 as they have been drawn against Ukraine, France and Sweden. It is by now way an easy group for England, but considering who England could have been drawn against, Fabio Capello cannot be too upset.

In every tournament there is a proverbial "Group of Death" and Euro 2012 is no exception.

Can't say I've ever been pulled into looking for a football documentary by a trailer as much as this one on The Other Chelsea, done last year about another financial behemoth run by Eastern European money, Shakhtar Donetsk, and its far reaches. Simply put, the intro is just spectacular.

The draw for UEFA EURO 2012 will take place on December 2nd in Kiev, Ukraine. Ireland are 4th seeds and the draw will determine our entry into one of four groups, A, B, C or D.
Each of the four groups will play matches across two host venues in one of the host countries, either Poland or Ukraine.

Last Wednesday Fenerbache players found themselves playing in front of 41,000 fans, mostly girls and some children, something sure they never imagined in their lives. Yes, no adult men were in stadium at all !!!!!
How it happened?

Men are pigs. Bullish, impatient, mindless, and above all selfish. It is why I only love women. And apparently, so do the Turks. In an effort to punish clubs for crowd trouble while acknowledging that such trouble comes from a small percentage of individuals, the Turkish Football Federation proposed barring all males over the age of 12 from the stands as punishment.

This is an absolute winner for women and football! Last night, 41,663 women and children filled the stadium to watch Turkish side, Fenerbahce play against Manisaspor. The Turkish Football Federation recently took up a decision to ban male supporters from attending games following their acts of hooliganism against Shakhtar Donetsk.

In Iran, women are banned from watching football matches. Jafar Panahi's "Offside" tells the story of several young women who dress up as boys and try and sneak into a 2006 World Cup match between Iran and Bahrain. It is a heartwarming and often comical tale of Iran's youth chafing at the heavy handed social mores skewed against women which are laid down by the orthodox clergy.

Turkey's been behaving badly lately; the fans, the clubs all of it. And so measures must be taken to ensure the safety, enjoyment of football, though mostly just ensuring 90 minutes of it.

Most countries remove the fans when problems arise. Turkey's decided to tweak the punishment slightly: instead of no fans, just women and children under 12.

The long-standing rivalry between Celtic and Rangers in the Scottish Premier League has always been one of the most bitter and dangerous in all of sports but the threat went to a new level yesterday when it was discovered that the bombs sent to the Celtic manager and two supporters were active.

Jose Mourinho's paranoia has to be growing after Andres Iniesta escaped a UEFA ban after getting a 'deliberate' booking for time-wasting.

Iniesta has been cleared of picking up a deliberate yellow card against Shakhtar Donetsk and will not face any action from UEFA's disciplinary committee, which means he can now play against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu on April 27.
