To add insult to injury Sir Alex will now be compelled to give interviews to the BBC or face
disciplinary action. He has not been on speaking terms with the BBC since 2004 when Panorama ran a
documentary which portrayed his son, Jason, an agent, as using his father's status to gain
influence in the transfer market.

This was my favorite goal of the week in any league. Montreal dominated Vancouver at home in the
USL Championship on Saturday and this goal from Joey Gjertsen was the one that just killed. His
finishing was certainly on-point but respect has to go out to Roberto Brown --yes, that Roberto
Brown-- for the outrageous assist because that sh*t was just ridonk.

A long time ago I wrote that the name Howard Webb won't make it into this blog anymore. However,
I think that the last year's emotions are already gone and that the occassion is good to draw your
attention to a particular film. "Kill The Referee" is a documentary about the referees flmed during
the Euro 2008.

One of the misfortunes of living outside the United Kingdom and supporting English football is
that when a legend dies, there are incredible heartwarming documentaries and news programs shown in
the UK profiling that hero but they're unavailable due to rights restrictions where I, and many of
you, live.

Because of the absolute boringness of this interlull in particular, Arsenal Station is treating
our readers to a gaggle of videos today. Above is an old documentary about the closing of Highbury,
The Highbury Years (not the official DVD), and below you will find Cesc and Senderos's
international goals this week as well as the highlights from the Blackburn match's Fanzone.

"The Golden Age" is a Queens, NY league of mostly Latino players over 40 - it is also the title of
a brilliantly filmed and edited documentary celebrating the global game and its particularly
migratory character within the US. The film makers manage to capture the skill and energy of the
players who slog out their season in Corona Park/Flushing Meadows, on the grounds of the 1964
Worlds Fair - I have never seen a documentary about the grassroots game that actually captures what
it feels like to play and participate in a league like this one.

I speak soccer and if you read this blog you're probably fluent as in the international language of
the pickup game. Filmmaker Terry Kegel speaks soccer as well and has created a cool little
documentary of the same. If you are in the Seattle-Tacoma area you can catch a screening of this at
the Grand Cinema on Sunday at 2pm as part of the Tacoma Film Festival.

Why do our bodies age? Perhaps surprisingly, scientists are not entirely sure. Certainly
there would be many advantages both to the individual and to the species if the human lifespan
could accumulate experiences in one long, linear progression towards perfection. Sadly, the
window for the body's chance at perfection is fleeting.

On Sept. 20th PBS will air a new documentary entitled "The Golden Age of Soccer". I think it's
about a bunch of geriatrics who despite their advanced age still get up for the game. And I'm not
talking Claudio Saurez old, but "I remember when the balls had laces-old". Soccer Insider mentioned
it the other day but I thought I'd share the trailer with you all.

How many times have you been on the BBC Sport or ITV Football website and you've been intrigued
by a video that the publisher is promoting only to find out that a rights restriction message pops
up when you try to play it? It's frustrating especially given that BBC Sport began preventing
international visitors from even watching post-match football manager videos.

Not that I have much punk rock cred to squander but this is the only Fugazi song that ever really
grabbed me. Since hearing it in the Christian Hosoi documentary --which I highly recommend-- over

struck me.

On Monday, it took place the premiere of the documentary "23 anos em Sete Segundos" (23 Years in
7 Seconds) by the director Julinho Xavier. The production remembers the Paulista title won by
Corinthians in 1977, the first in 23 years. It is the first of 4 movies about the club resulting
from the partnership between Fox Films and the production company Canal Azul (the other 3 are about
the 4 Brazilian titles, the 200 Club World Cup and the club's 100th anniversary).

Sad news today from Seeqpod. They are being sued by several music labels and have filed bankruptcy.
