New Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cotterill has barely got his feet under the table at The
City Ground and already Forest look to be on the up.
The former Portsmouth manager has been at the club a week and half and has already won as many
league games as manager than a certain former England manager did on Trentside.
West London be the venue for Chelsea's first league encounter with QPR since 1996. Wee Shaun
Wright and company will no doubt be amped for this one. Too bad we will be as well.
Son of anarchy
Rangers have won only one of their past 14 matches in all competitions against Chelsea.
It's our first away trip to QPR since 1995 and we're in dire need of a better result than the
1-0 loss we suffered that day after the downbeat nature of our Carling Cup exit.

The ubiquitous Joey Barton netted his first goal for QPR before getting involved in a fracas as
only the former Newcastle man can.
Additional goals from Alejandro Faurlin and DJ Campbell secured the comfortable victory against
a dismal Wolves side.
Joey Barton led QPR to their second victory of the season with a 3-0 away win
over high-fliers Wolves at Molineaux today.
Barton opened the scoring after just 8 minutes before Alejandro Faurlin doubled that lead 2
minutes later before DJ Campbell completed the rout with 3 minutes remaining in this niggly
affair which seen Barton confront the referee at full time following a wayward challenge
on Anton Ferdinand by Karl Henry.

Soccer Saturday's very own vidiprinter, the one which spews out all the goals and cards from the

They're full of spirit, courage and pluck. They're punching above their weight, a trio of little

Bolton Wanderers sit atop the English Premier League after they thrashed newly promoted Queens
Park Rangers 4-0 at Loftus Road. It was a rude introduction to the Premier League for QPR who
finished with 10 men after Clint Hall's late sending off for a headbutt.
After a promising start, in which striker DJ Campbell's had a goal disallowed for offide, QPR
conceded a goal right on the stroke of half-time when Bolton defender Gary Cahill fired the ball
into the top corner from 25 yards.

Why Blackburn, Norwich and Swansea are my tips to go down
The relegation scrap will be almost as intriguing as the battle for the title. Each season you
always have to look at the newly promoted teams and I fear for Norwich and Swansea. But QPR may
have enough because they are a team with goals in the form of Jay Bothroyd, DJ Campbell and Adel
Taarabt.
Do you hear that? That's the sound of Premiership football (with the exception of Spurs-Everton)
rumbling closer. While we haven't been exactly starved for footy this summer (Womens World Cup,
Copa America, U21 Euro's etc) there is nothing like the Prem. Tomorrow the Trotters usher in the
new season with a trip to new boys, QPR.

Quick Reminder, Real Life It was a bit of an odd ride to clinching the Championship title last
season with the threat of 10 point penalty hanging over the club until the waning days of the
season. With that disaster averted, Rangers are free to celebrate their return to the Premier
League on the back of a particularly stingy defense which conceded 10 fewer goals than the next
closest
Doncaster Manager Sean O' Driscoll may be the only man save from the chop.
The Championship season got under way Friday night with Ian Holloway's Blackpool beating Hull
City 1-0 the the seasons opener, but how many managers will be given their P45′s
before the end of the season?

Shaun Botterill/Getty ImagesAfter a heated transfer debate in January, and continued press coverage
and speculation, it now appears that Blackpool captain Charlie Adam is finally in the position to
move on he wanted during the middle of the season.
Despite their best efforts Blackpool was relegated on this past Sunday thanks to a 4-2 ousting at
the hands of EPL Champions Manchester United.

New Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish is looking to sign Blackpool midfielder Charlie Adam, according
to The Sun.
The Seasiders captain was handed his Rangers and Scotland debuts by McLeish, whose club are
preparing a £9 million bid in an attempt to beat Liverpool to his signature.
McLeish, who reportedly has £40m to spend this summer, failed to sign Adam for second city rivals
Birmingham in the January transfer window, when Tottenham were also keen on the Scotland
international.

With West Ham, Birmingham City and Blackpool all on their way down to the Championship the three
respective clubs will all be hoping that Premier League managers and managers from the other top
leagues of Europe stay well clear from some of their most prized assets.
Often referred to in the media as vultures by managers such as Ian Holloway of Blackpool, the
three clubs will have to try hard to ensure their top stars are happy to compete at the level of
the Championship, along with the inevitable wage drop that follows.

By their very nature relegated teams are not overloaded with talent worthy of the Premier League.
That is not to say that West Ham United, Blackpool and Birmingham City do not have players who will
attract interest from top flight clubs. Some players are already the subject of approaches.
West Ham have a core of English players who, whilst generally have been disappointing this season,
will be attractive due to their Premier League experience and native nationality.
When Manchester United and Blackpool met at Bloomfield Road almost four months ago, it proved to
be one of the matches of the season.
Thanks to goals by former United prospect Craig Cathcart and DJ Campbell, United found
themselves down 2-0 at halftime, and the deficit remained the same deep into the second half.

Not long ago Arsenal seemed poised to finally snap its trophy-less streak, but the Gunners fell
short in four competitions and now all that is left is securing direct entry into next season's
UEFA Champions League.
Arsene Wenger's side trails Manchester City by one point entering the final round, so Arsenal

The relegation battle took another turn today as both Bolton and Wolves got impressive wins.
Wolves went to the Stadium of Light and beat Sunderland 3-1, a win that lifts them into 16th
place, on 40 points.
Sunderland, who were playing without a recognised striker on the pitch, fell behind when former
Sunderland player Jody Craddock volleyed home Stephen Hunt's deep cross eluded.
