As an undersized midfielder who few in Britain have heard of, Udinese's Gabriel Torje is naturally a top transfer target for Arsenal's Arsene Wenger. Yet there's a hint that the Romanian might not be the kind of clean-cut youngster Wenger loves to sign.

Arsene Wenger is this morning reported to be keeping tabs on Udinese's Romanian winger Gabriel Torje.

A report in the Mirror claims that the 21-year-old being called the "Romanian Messi" says Wenger has been impressed with his progress at Udinese. Torje moved to the Italian side from Dynamo Bucharest.
