Probably been over doing it a bit, lately, and now I'm paying the price. The regular Sunday game is perfect of course, and then Tuesday with Loko. Then there's usually practice on a Friday - so far so good.
A good mate of mine runs a Thursday night open session - 6 v 6 best of three sets of three of first to 5, with maybe a final to 7 for the Universe. Click to continue reading...

Click to continue reading...

From the high of last Tuesday's Loko game to the ignominy of our indisciplined loss 5-0 to Avanti on Thursday. Jason's eye wasn't back to normal, Nick Esp and a few of the other lads were out so we just had eleven. But with us 0-0 at half time we were feeling good.
Artur lost it with the ref, Boyley decided that since we're 2-0 down we should drop the 4-1-4-1 since we might as well lose 5-0 as 2-0 and that's precisely what happened. Click to continue reading...

I've been musing on the make up of the club, especially after Benny D gave me his thoughts on the forced forfeit(he didn't agree with me, but we're a broad church).
At various points, players fall into a number of categories - either they're committed to a club philosophically because of their politics, aesthetics, ethnicity or because they're mates with other lads in the club at one end - or because they just want to 'play' to relieve stress or get exercise - at the other. PHEW! WOT A SCORCHER!

Arsenal Insider 17 August @ 06:00 AM EST

Well, that was just what the doctor ordered, wasn't it? Before kick off on Merseyside at Goodison I would have suffered a point, was hoping for a win – and oh, how we got one!

It must be said that Everton were hopeless open. I doubt many teams will leave us the freedom of the park like that for the rest of this season.

The uprise of Russian Premier League

Soccer Pie 16 August @ 02:36 AM EST

Russian Premier League has been established in 2001 and has since become one of the strongest leagues in Europe. The top tier of Russian football is currently ranked as 6th best league in Europe, mostly thanks to the success of teams from Russia in European competitions. This competition is attracting big crowds in the biggest country in the World and the quality of football does not fall too far behind their English counterpart.

Today has been a big day for Arsenal; We are to face Celtic in Champions league qualifying which as "harregas the gooner" said on the post below is very ironic and many transfer stories have stated prevailing in the last few hours, so the papers should be full of them tomorrow.

The Daily Mail is saying Wenger will up his bid for the Moroccan forward to £7.

football is fixed 30 July @ 04:40 AM EST
Well, we warned you...
Allow your club to be quasi-owned by #####################################, with a ######################################## businessman as chief executive, an extraordinary renditioning self-interested warmonger as chairperson, an inept manager whose former team, in Reality, would have finished trailed off at the bottom of last years' Premier League had it not been for the handicapping of the competition, and a club agent who combines professional deficiencies with rather too much interest in the betting markets, and this is what you get. Big Sunday

Dinamo Internazionale had the early game, against familiar foes Liverpool Scallies at Ferraro 6 9:55 KO. There was a notably no-show, so Scotty Hutz went in between the sticks. I don't think Scotty has played in goal for three years and he did a great job even though the first Liverpool goal was a compete fluke. Click to continue reading...

Veikkausliiga Round 13: preview for Sunday’s games

Nordic Fotoball News 05 July @ 07:03 AM EST

Last night, a great night from brand new KuPS signing Dickson Nwakaeme helped KuPS to a 3-0 win over RoPS, while TamU did exactly what was needed and overcame JJK with the scoreline 1-0. A more detailed round-up is on the way once the round is completed, but for now we are taking a look at today's games

Salesian High

Dinamo & everything else 10 April @ 03:30 PM EST
Dinamo Internazionale was the first team in the club, founded 5 years ago. Apart from a brief spell with Dinamo Shakhtar when I tried to help out in their thin defence for three games, I've played exclusively for Internazionale on Sundays.
In that 5 year period Inter has won absolutely nothing at all. Click to continue reading...

Practice

Dinamo & everything else 21 March @ 01:38 AM EST
Many of the lads prefer practice to the actual games. We use a private Small Sided Games facility perfectly located for Los Angeles. It's a good vibe though sometimes feisty, but all played at 150 miles per hour and so everyone goes home knackered. Viks is knackered but his mind is racing so he has to polish off a couple of good scotches to chill out. Click to continue reading...

Union and disunion

Dinamo & everything else 12 February @ 06:08 PM EST
Another week peppered with highs and lows.Â
Uncharacteristically given the season's start FK Dinamo have now only earned 4 points from a possible 9 after the 3-0 duffing handed to us by Coyotes. Boyley reckons they are the best team in the the league, but we didn't mentally turn up and we allowed the absence of a couple of key lads to be the excuse for our poor performance. TW3 and the weather

Dinamo & everything else 06 February @ 06:04 PM EST
That was the week ...
Saturday night at Crossroads and FK Dinamo decided to mess about in the Premier League - having soundly seen off Avanti the week before, well - it's football I suppose. Key center back Filiep van den Broucke was held up and we'd conceded two by the time he arrived at 2-1. We were stuck playing catch-up 2-2 then 3-2 down, then 3-3 then 4-3 and then (finally) 4-4. Mixed

Dinamo & everything else 25 January @ 02:41 PM EST
Football gives you the highs and lows, often one right after the other.
In an incredibly entertaining match at Santa Monica Airport Field, FK Dinamo beat Avanti 2-1 an outcome that this group of lads in all their configurations had failed to come up with previously. LA Vale won the Premier League season XII in late 2007 of course, but did so without beating the then reigning champs. Click to continue reading...

Dinamo Red Star drew 2-2

Dinamo & everything else 19 January @ 03:49 PM EST
Spoke to a couple of the lads later Sunday and our boys came back from 2-0 down. Â So really, DRS and DSh results auger well especially in the context of the pre-season friendlies - promotion should not upset us. The Shakhtar result is especially encouraging since Familiar FC finished last season second in this division. Click to continue reading...

If you're looking for a place to find fantastically dramatic happenings and off-beat footballing stories, Romania, even Eastern Europe as a whole, is probably your place. WCR - Top 25 Clubs in the World - Post-Copa Libertadores Edition

World Club Rankings 06 July @ 10:18 PM EST
It's time for the post-Copa Libertadores version of the World Club Rankings Top 25. Obviously, the big news since the last ranking is the historic victory by LDU Quito in the Copa Libertadores.
