OK no TGIF for two weeks due to International duties, and I thought that today I would discuss
non Arsenal matters on and off the field. The most obvious topic that gets me hot under the collar
is what I perceive to be FA bias towards SAF. Sir Alex Ferguson manager of Man U. Now I have in the
past called the FA the Ferguson Association for they seem totally unable to act with any kind of
authority against him.

There is always an element of subjectivity in any analysis or judgement, particularly so, perhaps,
in matters of the heart. And football.Along with the Corrs dilemma, the other seminal
philososphical debate of the modern era is if you had a straight choice between Arsenal winning the
Champions League and the Premier League - which would you choose?

Antonio Cassano has reinvented himself. Not only has he changed his physical approach by losing
weight, he has changed his mental approach too, becoming not only more mature, but also a leader.
He is now someone who visits hospitals and gives signed shirts to sick children. He is now someone
who can carry a team on his back, provide assists for his teammates, and entertain the crowd.

Diego Maradona is in an unfamiliar position. The former World Cup winning soccer legend and
current coach of Argentina is currently out of a World Cup birth by one single position in the
rankings and one single point overall.  Argentina is not completely out of it yet, but with
another loss coming up in October they will likely be done.

Anfield Talk 15 September @ 12:13 PM EST
Rafa Benitez asked his players to do their talking on the pitch and Yossi Benayoun responded
brilliantly at Anfield on Saturday.
The Israeli was excellent against Burnley and fully deserved his hat-trick.
Ryan Babel could learn a lot from Benayoun.
Rather than moan about not being in the side every week, Benayoun knuckled down and was determined
to take his chance.

Rafa Benitez is confident that Argentina midfielder Javier Mascherano will be fit for the start of
Liverpool's Champions League campaign.
Mascherano was missing as his side demolished Burnley 4-0 at Anfield, with his replacement Yossi

Fabio Capello has a decision to make. Stick with his preferred strike partnership of Wayne
Rooney and Emile Heskey, or bench the latter and start Jermain Defoe, who scored once again after
replacing Heskey in the second half of the Slovenia match. Although even Heskey himself thinks
Defoe should probably start, Capello seems to be struggling with the dilemma.

Last week's biggest headline was the announcement that Chelsea have been handed a transfer ban.
The Blues are accused of illegally tapping up former Lens youngster Gael Kakuta, and the ruling has
sparked controversy all around the world of football. Manchester United appear to be the next club
on the chopping block as French club Le Havre are accusing the Premiership champions of tapping up
16 year old Paul Pogba.

Also, I hear David Beckham has his kids watch BBC on television so they'll appreciate their

Sadly, more BBC means more fire-breathing Gordon Ramsay on TV.

Bangkok Glass' style of play is similar to what we saw by their fellow Thai side - TTM Samut Sakorn
on last Friday.
Glass Rabbit fans... Wondering we would get to see the famed Glass Rabbit cheerleaders anytime
soon?
Patient is the key in orchestrating any attacking play, a logic never seems to adapt by many of the
local clubs who would prefer that "kamikaze" style of football (kick and rush before allowing your
opponents to hit you hard when at vulnerability).

So, as a native of the Philadelphia area here in the US I'm confronted with something of a dilemma.
Growing up in Philadelphia you are generally brought up with a healthy (and some would say
unhealthy) bit of mania for the local professional sports teams across all major American sports.
As a kid who played just about every sport available growing up and growing up in an era (late 70s
and early 80s) when all of the local teams were challenging for championships I formed life-long
attachments to my teams - the Phillies in baseball (that's the defending World Series champion
Phillies I might add); the 76ers in basketball; the Flyers in hockey; and the Eagles in football
(our version).

Cheeky finish from the Carling Cup The old strikers' dilemma. You're one-on-one with the keeper: do
you chip him, go round him or try and place the ball into the net? Swansea's Stephen 'House-elf'
Dobbie found an interested solution to the problem in Tuesday night's Carling Cup clash with
Brighton.

I've had a dilemma for a while now. I believe to deliver a blog which people will read regularly
you have to be consistent with your posting days and times (as well as actually having half decent
content and a writing style that people can actually understand).
I originally chose to to go for a morning 'edition' but this was a rather stupid idea as I start
work at 5.

Italians still insist that Aleksandar Kolarov is Juventus' first pick, when it
comes to the position of the left back. The biggest Italian club made up the team that should be
number one favourites for the title, but flanks are the weakest links.
The solution for the right side is obviously Martin Caceres from Barcelona,
while Fabio Groso was in charge of the left side, but sports director Seko has already stated that
he is no longer in club plans for the future.

world's most popular sports league.

These days, the A-League average (salary) is more than $100,000 — a marked increase
