by CARL ELDRIDGEÂ Not the greatest round-up of Arsenal stories from this morning's papers today
but what scant coverage there is is pretty much here. First off we have RVP telling the Sun that he
does not believe his game is similar to his Liverpool and Chelsea counterparts Torres and
Drogba.

All of a sudden, it seems no-one wants to win Ligue 1 this season. Every time a team rises to the
top of the pile, they quickly lose their next game and fall from grace again.
Such is the case for Lyon who recently replaced long-standing leaders Bordeaux at the top end of
Ligue 1. Their trip to Nice seemed barely troublesome after beating Liverpool in the Champions
League last week, but they hadn't accounted for the home side's desperate need for points.

With the Ballon d'Or nominations finally releasing this weekend, the headlines have mostly been
devoted to the fact that world champions Italy have no representation whatsoever. But why blame the
press for paying excessive attention to an irrelevant detail? After all, the award itself is
destined to be heading Lionel Messi's way, which means very little is there to be talked about in
terms of debating the winner, right?

Rewind back to 2003 and you'll see that Jonathan Woodgate had everything. From critical acclaim
to a huge fan following, he had all the essentials required to go down in the Newcastle folklore as
one of the very best defenders of all time. However, the only obstacle that could stop him injuries
came into play very early into his career at St.

Chelsea supporters know all too well the defensive contribution made by one Didier Drogba. What
we weren't aware of was the Drogs' Jesus-like view of himself in this light.
"I often sacrifice myself for the good of the team," Drogba said, where and to whom I have no
idea.

TalkSport ran a poll to see who the Premiership's all-time biggest diver was. Cristiano Ronaldo,
who is talked of a lot more fondly in the media now that he has left us, finished an impressive
fourth, way behind Steven Gerrard!
Jürgen Klinsmann - 35%
Steven Gerrard - 29%
Didier Drogba - 18%
Cristiano Ronaldo -12%
David Ginola - 6%

A great majority of the football world has grown used to laughing off Arsene
Wenger's dramatic remarks over major incidents in recent years. This is precisely why the
Arsenal manager was largely ignored when he labeled the accusations over
Gunners striker Eduardo's recent "dive" against
Celtic as a "witch-hunt".

The run down to the closure of the transfer window has seen Boro heavily involved in transfer
activity, sadly it is with news of imminent departures rather than squad additions.
Sky are reporting that Robert Huth and Tuncay Sanli are undergoing medicals ahead of a move to
Stoke City for a reported joint fee of around £11M.

I don't know if you heard, but there was this small announcement a couple of weekends ago from
England's Brave John Terry. JT committed himself to the Chelsea cause after minor flirtation which
he denies for some odd reason with the idea of joining the Manchester City empire.
Now, former Blue Mateja Kezman has chimed in on the subject via an exclusive interview with

Its a pressure cooker when you are a country's most recognized superstar. And Adebayor is known
as the King of Arsenal in his home country of Togo. The country only sells football jerseys bearing
the name Emmanuel Sheyi Adebayor. Being a superstar allows you to get away with a lot.
In one example, Adebayor refused to board a plane for a World Cup qualifier against Zambia
because he feared the plane would crash.

As there is still a distinct lack of solid activity on the transfer front, and with the rumours
getting more and more desperate, I thought it might be a good chance to analyse those players that
Spurs would probably be happy to offload this summer.
We are still quite heavy on the Team Comolli front but I'm slightly concerned that we won't even
be able to give a couple of those superstars away.

When two extremely well-matched sides compete in a cup final, a moment of brilliance is often
the difference maker. Some may argue that Everton is not in the same league as Chelsea. But with
David Moyes at the helm, the Toffees have defied all odds to finish the season strong without much
spending.
