Sad weekend for British football as Nottingham Forest Owner Nigel Doughty was found dead in his
home yesterday. He was 54. According to a statement released by the club, Doughty was found dead in
his gym.
"It is with enormous sadness that Nottingham Forest announce the death of the club's owner
Nigel Doughty, Mr Doughty, who was 54, was found dead earlier today in his gym at his home in
Skillington, Lincolnshire.

Morning all. How about that final day, then? It wasn't enough that the season
closer was an outright molestation of the senses for those immersed in all the grisly stuff; they
had to try and involve the rest of us, too. Even if, for the average sit-at-home hero, it was just
an exercise in making sure the part of our brain usually reserved for processing basic arithmetic,
hadn't leaked out of our ears the night before in a syrupy gunk.
That was painful. Fulham were excellent, but so bad were Birmingham that the victory seemed
almost cruel.
Why should I care? I think it's that about a year ago Birmingham and Fulham seemed so similar:
defensively very sound, occasionally prone to lack of invention, but good enough to win enough
games to stay in the league.
Newcastle United midfielder Cheik Tiote goes into the record books, although it only gives Alan
Pardew a headache. It seems that Cheik Tiote's yellow card for tripping Matt Derbyshire on Saturday
has gained him a Premier League record. He joins Robbie Savage and Mark Hughes on 14 bookings for

OK, after two weeks off for the holidays and a hard drive melt down we're back. Luckily its been
