Juan Guillermo Dominguez was rushed to a hospital after sustaining a injury when an opposing
team fans threw a rock at his head.
The Deportivo Cali defender was the only person injured when a bus boarded by his team was
pummels by rocks and bottles by local fans. The bus was not designed to take an aggressive attack
like that and was only guarded by one police officer.

Former Argentina and Independiente forward Raúl Emilio Bernao died of a hepatitis-related illness
on Wednesday, aged 66. Bernao was born in Sarandà on the 4th November 1941, and played in nearby
Avellaneda for Independiente from 1961 to 1970, scoring 41 goals from his position on the right
wing.
