According to Gaizka Mendieta , there is a big possibility that Barca coach Pep Guardiola could
soon be on his way out of the record breaking club. A lot of uncertainty has arisen over
Guardiola's future following his shocking denial on Tuesday that he was close to signing a new
contract.
It doesn't make any sense why Pep would want to leave Barcelona.
Ahead of our game, Sir Alex Ferguson has explained why Patrice Evra has been wearing our
captain's armband for most of this season.
Nemanja Vidic is our captain but has spent most of the season injured, meaning Evra has filled
in. Ferguson gave Evra the responsibility because of his fitness and his personality.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The New York Red Bulls turned some heads by trading a 2013 first-round pick
and allocation money to the Portland Timbers for veteran striker Kenny Cooper, a move intriguing
for a number of reasons, none more than the fact that New York already has a full stable of
first-team strikers in Thierry Henry, Luke Rodgers and Juan Agudelo.
I've written a number of times before about youth soccer referees not wanting to use their
cards. Initially it seemed to be due to the age of players that I coached. But now that my older
girls team is in high school, I haven't seen many more cards, even though I've seen plenty of fouls
to warrant them from opponents AND my own players.
Mirror: The Adeyemi incident is what you get when you summon the full forces of
tribalism
There is no pleasure in saying this, but Liverpool have begun to reap a little of what they have
sown. New Liverpool racism row: Fan's abuse has Oldham player in tears When you defend racist
language, when you enter into angry denial and summon the full forces of tribalism, this is what
you get.
Last night, the Daily Mail ran a story claiming that former Liverpool striker Fernando Torres would
be available in the January transfer window at a knock-down price. Rather unsurprisingly, Chelsea
have publicly refuted the story.A spokesman for the Stamford Bridge club blasted the false
speculation:"The story is total nonsense.

In the past and the present, football players have enjoyed a special place in a football fan's
life. People from all over the world take time out of their busy lives to watch them play or get a
glimpse of them in training.
Rafa Benitez's agent Manuel Garcia Quilon has dismissed growing speculation linking the former
Liverpool manager with Paris Saint Germain.
Al Jazeera announced yesterday that that Benitez was set to take over, but Quilon swiftly issued
the following denial:
"Rafael Benitez is in Liverpool tonight having dinner with his family.
When news first broke that NBC was pursuing Arlo White to be their soccer play-by-play voice for
the upcoming season, many of us were in denial. By the time it was formally announced on Wednesday,
it made perfect sense: This was a chance of a lifetime.
But whether or not Seattle Sounders fans could understand the move, it doesn't mean it hurt any
less.
A lot of people have been arguing that Syracuse assistant basketball coach Bernie Fine is
innocent of all charges against him. But a recent tape released of Bernie Fine's wife talking to
the alleged victim has all but cemented his guilt.
Bernie Fine is accused of sexually molesting Bobby Davis, who was a ballboy for Syracuse.
After the West Brom victory last week, I posted an article arguing that the quality of Liverpool's
second half performance had been wildly exaggerated. The gross hyperbole coming from fans, pundits
and ex-players after the game was laughable, and just served to deflect attention away from the
real issues, which were exposed again today by an outstanding Swansea team who, quite frankly, gave
Liverpool a footballing lesson on their own ground.
An emotionally heavy week gradually winds to a close, with many of the major storylines
(hopefully) having some sort of resolution on the horizon. In the wake of Saturday's draw with
United it was the allegations of racism against Luis Suarez, and Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday it
was the proceedings in Parliament regarding Hillsborough and the reactions on all sides.
Liverpool 'totally and utterly' back Luis Suárez, says Kenny Dalglish
• Manager defends striker against racism and diving claims • Manchester United's Patrice
Evra claimed he was abused The Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has issued a robust defence of Luis
Suárez following allegations of racism made against the striker .
With all the furore over Patrice evra's claim that he was called a n***** by Luis Suarez during
Saturday's game at Anfield, followed by Suarez's denial of his claims, what is your opinion of the
whole matter?
Do you think Suarez taunted him or is Evra making it up, he has previous, vote below if you wish.
The cartoon featured today on Sport.es right expresses the anxiety we Barca fans have about
International breaks. It's not like we lost so much after International breaks, but there is no
denial that a number of our lackluster performance came following the break. But this time around
we shouldn't have such thoughts crossing our mind as the cartoon say "We got Andres Iniesta - The
Anti FIFA Virus Guys".
When there's no match to preview, what do you do? News Roundup!
Well, to be quite honest, at the time of writing, there is a scarcity of meaningful Arsenal news
this week. The few morsels are of the "brush aside after skimming" quality, but the show must go
on. We'll start with the type of news every single Arsenal fans love to hear about- transfer
rumors!
Carlos Tevez has today announced his attention to spend his recent club suspension refusing to
engage in any way with his children, Florencia, 6, and Katie, 2. Manchester City handed down the
suspension to the errant striker after he disobeyed manager Roberto Mancini's orders for him to
come on as a substitute, so Tevez has decided to bring his work home with him.
After a debacle like our 3-0 fallout against Kansas City, it's just kind of hard to know what to
say or do as a mixture of emotions surface. There's anger, sadness, despair, rage, angst, and we'll
just stop there as my gut is now on fire.
These are common manifestations of grief. To borrow from the landmark book, On Death and Dying,
grieving guru Elisabeth Kübler-Ross describes grief as a cycle in 5 stages.
Of course, that could just be an unfortunate ruck in his shorts, but denial is a very important
part of our lives here at Kickette. It should be for yours, too. Image: Rich Lam/Getty Images.
Adequate is the word that I would use to describe Arsenals transfer window. It could have been
better but then again it could also have been worse. Watching the post match interview with Wenger
after our dismal Sunday last weekend left me feeling angry, deflated and pessimistic about our
future.
After yesterday's debacle, it is time to take a step back and see where we are, how did we get
he and what the future holds. There is no point in analysing yesterday's match, it is certified XXX
in the minds of all Arsenal fans.
We all knew it was not going to be an easy match but the roots of the result go back, probably
two or three seasons ago.

Way back in march i posted an article on here defending Wenger and questioning what was really
going on behind closed doors, i wrote this article after having stumbled across and interesting bit
of reading which made it clear all was not what it seemed at the Emirates and that Wenger was
working under tight [.
Love ARSENAL... Hate SKY this is my new mantra as many of you will be aware following my
earlier rant. Now today the papers are full of "Crisis at The Emirates" If Gunners fail CL
challenge Arsene Wenger will be on borrowed time. John Cross of the Mirror had better apologise for
his article on 18th August 2011 where he trumpeted arrogantly "It's the Arsenal fans who are
turning on Wenger, not the media" well using the evidence of my own eyes today, I don't see Gooners
working for the tabloid rubbish that they issue as "copy".
The ancient Greeks were a wonderful people, whose reliance on slaves and women to do all the
actual work meant they could devote themselves to increasing the size of their brains, and then
devote those gigantic brains to the asking of brilliantly pointless questions, many of which still
entertain and irritate philosophy students today.
This team got relegated last year.

As I readied to trek over to AZ training for Jozy Altidore's first session last Friday, I finally
came to a sad conclusion after so much denial: my camera is old and crap.Fortunately, there was a
nice fan who regularly snaps photos at the ground. She mentioned that the players often ask her for
shots, so I asked if she'd be willing to share some with the folks back in America monitoring Jozy.

Why Bryan Robson deserves his financial reward unlike mercenaries Modric, Cesc and

I stumbled across an interview the other day which had me beating the table as wildly as Rupert
Murdoch in denial. It was given last summer by Luka Modric, after he'd signed a new deal at
Spurs.
Despite Manchester United being strongly linked with a move to Wesley Sniejder, Sir Alex
Ferguson attempted to play down the story this week. Without point blank claiming that we were not
interested, the manager wanted to distance the club from the story.
"The situation is that there is no real interest in Wesley Sneijder at this moment in time
for a lot of reasons," Ferguson said.
The father of Nicklas Bendtner is either very determined that his son will end up playing for
Borussia Dortmund or he is playing a serious game of cat-and-mouse with the press. A month ago he
told reporters that both Dortmund and Sporting Lisbon had both put in offers for his son, and both
teams moved [.

"I see no City!"
His pet-project is looking ever-more Barca bound, a £7 million fee has been agreed with
Manchester City for left-back Gael Clichy and there are several swirling reports that
Samir Nasri may be about to follow his compatriot to Eastlands for £20-odd million, but Arsenal
manager Arsene Wenger has refused to discuss the fact that he may be about to lose a triplet of
first-team players.
If you listen to sports talk radio, then you are probably familiar with the Dan Patrick Show. He
has become widely known in the world of U.S. sports fans. He has developed his show over the years
and clearly has major influence on the direction of how sports fans receive their sports news.
So many entrenched sports media types ignore what is happening with Soccer in the U.
Nicklas Bendtner is desperately looking for a new club to give him first team football next season,
but it is looking like the Greatest Striker IIn The World may still be sitting on the Arsenal bench
next season. The Danish international's father, Thomas, said last week that there had been a firm

This incident happened in a match between Roberto Carlos's side Anzhi Makachkala and Samara.
This is what Peter Odemwingie was talking about - this thick vein of ugly racism that crops up when
playing in the Russian leagues. You can see a visibly upset Roberto Carlos exiting the match.
Can we say denial and that too by the head of Russia's World cup bid to what happened to
Odemwingie.
Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie was recently quoted as saying that England's national team's
recent performances are attributed to their wild, rich lifestyles.
"When I see some English footballers who are out until three in the morning, then I can only
conclude that they are invariably finished at 33," said van Persie.
Right, well it's a busy morning and it seems the transfer market is beginning to hot up.
Firstly, bids ahoy for a couple of our players. Liverpool have made a £5m offer for Gael Clichy
which is no surprise at all. A move there has long been rumoured, especially since he broke off
contract talks back in early April.
Video footage showing Blatter in denial about there being a "crisis" in FIFA.
He also sounds a bit like Don Corleone when he talks about FIFA being a family.
Sorry for the lack of posts after Saturday's 1-1 draw. I've had computer problems and been sick. My
computer issues still aren't solved so this is going to be a quick combined post.
First Saturday's game. A just result arrived at in an unjust way. A great free kick from Jamie
Smith led to Drew Moor's first goal of the season.
The French Football Federation has issued a communiqué by Laurent Blanc in response to the
allegations published last week by Mediapart about the existence of a plan to limit the numbers of
"black and Arab" football players within the national youth system. It's a rather strange
statement. Blanc, who initially issued a blanket denial about everything attributed to him in the
article, now seems to be admitting that he did participate in a discussion about the topic of
players who might have the possibility of playing for other national teams, and more broadly about
the issue of the style of play being developed within the youth system.
