So it's Bolton at the Reebok on Saturday.
I think we can safely say we're not going to see a repeat of the midweek thrashing we threw at
Wanderers in the Carling Cup. Wednesday's match was the third consecutive demolition at Stamford
Bridge 13 goals scored, none conceded. The Blues are in a rich vein, eh?

Carlo Ancelotti's side's current form is nothing short of amazing, having amassed 13 goals from
their last three games. Chelsea will join Arsenal and Manchester United in the quarter-finals of
the Carling Cup after their clinical demolition of Bolton Wanderers at the Stamford Bridge. Deco,
Malouda, Drogba and Salomon Kalou were the goal scorers for Chelsea.

For all the thrills and spills that club football brings us each and every season it doesn't
come close to the passion I personally feel when it comes to the World Cup Finals.
Perhaps it's because my background as a professional footballer numbed my feelings and
allegiances to one specific club?

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has described Fernando Torres as priceless following his demolition of
Hull City at the weekend.
Torres terrorised the Hull defence during Liverpool's thumping 6-1 win at Anfield helping himself
to a clinical hat-trick.
It brought Torres' tally to eight goals in seven Premier League games this season and it was fourth
treble in his Reds career since his arrival from Atletico Madrid.

put Barca in command.

Premiership, 25.2.01, Manchester United 6 - 1 Arsenal
Manchester United went a massive sixteen points clear at the top of the table after our 6-1
demolition of title rivals, Arsenal. Of all the clashes between the clubs this has to go down as
the most humiliating. We did beat them 6-2 in the League Cup in 1990 and they put five past us on a
couple of occasions in the 60's, but nothing compares to a 6-1 thrashing when you're both chasing
the title.

all be taken away from me very quickly," the former England international told the club's official

After last night's demolition of Stoke City the optimism has returned to Anfield.

contenders again, thank God

You can really beat that for an opening day result, can you?
6 goals away from home. No matter who you're playing in the league, that's an exceptional
performance.
And for some, an unthinkable result. After all, Arsenal haven't spent huge-wads of cash this
summer. There's been no 'bail-out' of the squad.

For those of you that missed Thad's post over at The Back Post yesterday, the last remaining wall

a shell and then the garage portion of Sears in the southwest corner. Other than that, the roof is
basically all off and walls are coming down. I'd expect the rest of the mall to be down by next
week.
