Arsenal may have impressed everyone with their 7-1 demolition of Blackburn at the weekend, but
before that they had only earned one point from their previous four games. Theo Walcott was one of
the players pinpointed by Arsenal fans as being out of sorts during that run, and the England
international thinks it is unfair [.
After a disappointing start to this calender year, Arsenal were finally able to secure their
first Premier League win of 2012, picking up 3 vital points against Blackburn Rovers in a 7-1
demolition at The Emirates.
Once again, Robin van Persie showed just how important he is to this Arsenal side scoring three
and making two others during a numbingly-cold afternoon in North London.
Last fall IMS reported on the surprise demolition of the beer garden at the northwest corner of the
National Sports Center Stadium in Blaine, Minn., home field for the Minnesota Stars. The beer
garden had become a fixture at the stadium for Stars fans since it was built for the Thunder in the
spring of [.
Going into the game at the Emirates some serious pressure was put on United, with City getting a
late 3-2 win over Spurs less than an hour before kick off. 3 points were a necessity. The 8-2
demolition in August was still fresh in the minds for both sets of fans, with Arsenal craving
revenge [...]
Danny Welbeck scored ten minutes from time to beat Arsenal and seal an important away win for
United. United looked set for a draw after Robin Van Persie had cancelled out Antonio Valencia's
opener but Welbeck's finish keeps United within three points of City. While the 8-2 demolition of
Arsenal in the corresponding fixture in [.
Henri Lansbury's last game for Arsenal this season was the 8-2 defeat at Old Trafford. He's been
at Arsenal since he was 9-years-old but his worst ever day in football came at the hands of
Manchester United earlier this season.
Two weeks after our demolition of Arsenal, Lansbury signed for West Ham on loan and was quick to
grab their badge when he scored on his debut.
Yohan Cabaye had a terrific game for Newcastle last night in the 3-0 demolition of Manchester
United, and he again showed what an excellent midfielder he is and was simply a terrific
acquisition by Newcastle last summer. Yohan Cabaye after his simply stunning goal YES!!!!
Newcastle put in a display that will long be remembered last night, when they [.
Dimitar Berbatov delivered a late Christmas present to United fans, scoring three in a 5-0
demolition of 10-men Wigan, to send Ferguson's team joint top with Manchester City, albeit behind
on goal difference. Park Ji Sung and Antonio Valencia also got on the scoresheet, as Wigan were
furious with referee Phil Dowd, whose decision to [.
San Jose city officials have approved a Planned Development permit for the construction of the
proposed Earthquakes stadium. However, neighbors have until January 3 to appeal the granting of
the permit. The team hopes to have the stadium complete by 2013. If there is no appeal, the
team will move to the next step in next month, however an appeal could delay the process by weeks
or months.

Editor's note: At the end of the 2010 season, we posted a series of season reviews of every
Philadelphia Union player. Over the next several weeks PSP continues with a review of the 2011
season.
At the end of the 2010 season, the jury was still out on Kyle Nakazawa.
Most likely, fans around the world who don't have any connection with Manchester either
football wise or any other wise, are sick and tired of all the talk and banter surrounding the
surprising exits of both Man Utd and Man City from the knockout stages of this year's UEFA
Champions League tournament.
Blackpool want to extend Liverpool starlet Jonjo Shelvey's loan spell at the club.
Shelvey sealed a loan move to Blackpool at the end of September and has impressed during his stay
at Bloomfield Road, scoring six goals in nine appearances.
He netted a stunning hat-trick in Blackpool's 5-0 demolition of Leeds at the start of the month and
Ian Holloway is eager to keep him at the club.
In 2009, Cardiff City moved into their new home, Cardiff City stadium. One reminder of their
former home is pictured above, the gates of Ninian Park, home for Cardiff City from 1910 until the
ground's demolition in 2009. We looked at Ninian Park's demolition in pictures a couple of years
ago.
Mersey Beat: Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll starting something special at
Liverpool?

Well it's November and that means Halloween is behind us. Still, October was a fantastic month in
MLS that offered us a fantastic finale to the league where matches truly mattered and we saw
Wild-Card matches where the fates of teams were decided. In less than a month we will have a new
champion and with that a new off season.
Oh Mario, you are a character aren't you? Whether it's throwing darts at youth team players or
speeding in your Maserati, picking up countless tickets and fines along the way, it's setting off
fireworks in your own house, sneaking into a women's prison due to ‘curiosity' or even proving to
be the good samaritan, aiding a bullied child who was at a Manchester City training session when he
should have been at school.

In honour of the local dialling code, it's already being called the 0161 6-1 and there's no
denying that Manchester City's demolition of their local rivals at the Theatre Of Dreams will spark
conversation after conversation in the weeks ahead.

I won't let anyone hang their heads after that second half. Sure, the first was fucked
eight-ways to Tuesday before any rhythm could be established, and yeah, we had a lot to do with the
cards handed out.

Bayern Munich youngster Thomas Muller has revealed that he turned down the opportunity to join
then-Barclays Premier League champions Chelsea in the aftermath of Germany's impressive 2010 World
Cup campaign.
Muller, who won the Golden Boot with his five goals as well as three assists in South Africa,
contributed to the demolition of Argentina and England before the Germans exited the tournament
with a 1-0 defeat to eventual champions Spain.
It's four wins out of four for Spurs as they head into this weekend's fixture at St James's Park
and as far as Gareth Bale is concerned, the key to sustained success is turning White Hart Lane
into a fortress.
Two home wins including an impressive 4-0 demolition of Liverpool have hinted that the ground
can be turned into an arena that opponents fear and Bale is certain that this situation can only
help the club in the long term.

The disturbances on the night of August 6th following a vigil for local man Mark Duggan,
allegedly shot by police three days earlier, became the spark that ignited the most widespread and
sustained civil disobedience in Britain since the early 80s. Yet Tottenham remains the area that
has suffered the most.
The NSC TV did a video preview this week of the Minnesota Stars vs. the Carolina RailHawks NASL
semifinal home and away series. They also show the beer garden demolition and talk about the new
structure that will stand in it's place.
Many outsiders look at Singapore and consider the place a perfect example of how a city can be run.
They point to a progressive public transport network, a popular airline and a thriving tourist
industry as supporting their arguments.
Maybe that's true, maybe it isn't. But when it comes to running sports Singapore is as cack handed
as the rest of the region.
Coming off last weekend's 3-0 demolition of Toronto that bodes well for next year, Chivas USA's
season hangs by a thread as it meets the Philadelphia Union today at 5 p.m. at Home Depot Center
(live on Prime and KWHY).
The teams combined for five goals earlier in the season in a 3-2 Union win in Philadelphia.
The story surrounding QPR so far this season is how their first game should be treated
like a mulligan. The story goes that since the ownership change and subsequent decisions by the
brass to, you know, actually spend money, QPR now has a solid, bona fide squad.
Which they do. But the fact that what we may see on Sunday is somehow completely and utterly
different from their squad on Opening Day is just false.
Lionel Messi became Barcelona's second highest ever goalscorer after he netted twice during his
sides 5-0 demolition of BATE Borisov. "There is simply no stopping him"; "Messi the record-breaker"
were just some of the standout headlines gleaming across the official Barcelona website. And who
can disagree?

Theyab Awana, the UAE winger who became an internet sensation after netting a supremely cheeky
back-heeled penalty kick in the UAE's 7-2 demolition of Lebanon in July, has been killed in a car
crash.
The 21-year-old was driving back to Abu Dhabi on Sunday evening after taking part in a national
team training session in Al Ain when his car collided with a truck.
This week's Argentines Abroad is late, thanks to the midweek round of matches here in Argentina
keeping me busy. Better late than never, though. As well as Lionel Messi's hat-trick in Barcelona's

Have scum put a curse on the Emirates?
I was told this story some time ago but have never passed it on because, well, frankly, I didn't
give it much credence.
It came from a relative who worked on the demolition of Highbury and the construction of the
Emirates.
He is not a football fan and has no axe to grind as far as the Arsenal is concerned.

Why Spurs and Arsenal have provided an abject lesson in how NOT to use the transfer
window
Amid the smouldering remains of the Premier League hopes of Tottenham and Arsenal, a lesson has
been learned in the boardrooms of White Hart Lane and The Emirates. That would be how and how not
to use the transfer window .
Following yesternight's demolition of Villareal more and more people are vying for the much
coveted 3-4-3 fomation to be used at Barca. Already everyone is going gaga over the fact that we
played almost 9 midfielde players and one defender in the starting line-up. A look into the line-up
which started explains why people are so thrilled - Busquest, Mascherano who played in defense are
natural defensive midfield players.
It is a memory that has lasted for what seems to be an eternity. The last time Man Utd showed
Arsenal no mercy was 10 years ago thrashing the Gunners 6-1 at Old Trafford and believe it or not,
the Gunners went on to finish 2nd that season with United taking the honours. A hammering that has
constantly haunted the faithful, it was a result that we well and truly hoped we would never see
again.
Matchday 1 of the new Spanish season flew by spectacularly over the weekend as Real Madrid put six
past Real Zaragoza with Cristiano Ronaldo bagging a hat-trick. New season, same old s***. Jose
Murinho's men recorded another thumping win as they began their quest to overhaul champions
Barcelona with a astounding 6-0 demolition of Real [.
During Bayern's 5-0 demolition of Hamburg, Arjen Robben made one of his trademark runs on the
right and his sudden cut in-field created parabolic flight like microgravity conditions in his
path, causing Ivica Olic and Jeffrey Bruma to experience a brief sensation of weightlessness.
Jake Livermore will earn a lot of praise after his all round display was capped off with Spurs'
third goal in their 5-0 demolition of Hearts. The 21 year old defender found himself thrust into
the team after a midfield injury crisis and took his chance well. After cropping up with some
useful goals in pre-season games of the past, he sealed his performance with his first competitive
goal for the club.
