In soccer news, Daniela was named WPS Player of the Week after her 2-goal performance against the Freedom. Sadly, I am guessing that she is lost to the Athletica for the rest of the season after what looked like a bad leg injury.

Yesterday was a delayed opening day for my kids. We started at a new club that I had heard good things about, as far away as when I lived in Virginia.
So far we had one day notice on the coaches meeting, and less than two weeks before the season started. When I inquired, about this I was scolded.

So the stimulus package has passed, as the sun rises on this beautiful Saturday morning.  It wouldn't have, without the help of Arlen Specter, Olympia Snow, and Susan Collins - courageous, centrist Republicans in a sea of dissembling, disingenuous, faux bipartisan doofusses mouthing old platitudes and marching in lockstep.

The Breakers' home opener is this Saturday (4/11-7PM) against the Athletica at Harvard Stadiuim. Both teams have an opening day loss to rectify. It'll be fun to see Hope Solo and Lori Chalupny in town ... and just awesome to get the season rolling. A big plus of April soccer in Boston is that we get to wear all of our winter Breakers gear, too.
