The Gazzetta dello Sport is arguably the most famous sports newspaper in Italy, selling more copies than rivals Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport. It is world famous for it's pink pages and has been printed in pink since 1899. The current head editor of the Gazzetta, Luigi Garlando, has always been a critic of Lippi since his return to the national team, has always been pro-Cassano, and doesn't understand why Lippi hates to answer questions at press conferences.

Roma-Inter from May of 1999 is another highly entertaining game from one of the most entertaining Serie A seasons of all time. The 1998-99 season had 3 leaders of the table (for the first part of the season it was Fiorentina, who were winter champions but were then hurt by the injury of Batistuta, then Lazio, who looked on their way to the Scudetto but fell off form towards the end, and then Milan who surprised everyone and stole the Scudetto on the last day).

Sono incazzato come una biscia. La partita di ieri, contro il modestissimo Bologna, andava vinta in scioltezza e con almeno due goal di scarto. Non serve a nulla triturare Roma e Lazio a domicilio, se poi si impatta con una squadretta di questo calibro in casa. Soprattutto se la "corazzata piu' forte del millennio", nel frattempo viene affondata da un'ottima Sampdoria e il mister dei nerassuri sbrocca di testa evidenziando le prime tensioni con la societa'.

Ieri sera, nella partita inaugurale di Campion's League abbiamo assistito ad un brusco passo indietro da parte della Juventus, sia sul piano del gioco, sia sul piano della personalità , sia della concretezza. Se è vero che le importanti assenze hanno sicuramente condizionato l'andamento della gara (giocatori come Diego, Sissoko, Del Piero non si possono regalare ad un'ottima squadra come il bordeaux) è altrettanto vero che la Squadra è scesa in campo decisamente contratta, impaurita e quasi senza grinta, atteggiamento un pò migliorato nel secondo tempo, ma che ha finito per regalare completamente il primo tempo ai francesi e che ci ha impedito, come spesso capita, di chiudere il match quando ne abbiamo avuto l'occasione.

L'esordio in Champions League è ormai ad un passo. Inarrestabile in Serie A, con tre vittorie (cinque gol fatti ed uno subito) su altrettante gare, lo squadrone di Ciro Ferrara si prepara ad indossare i panni europei. Martedì sera, ore 20.45, stadio Olimpico: Juventus-Bordeaux.
