In the first part of our FM scouting series, we looked at United's new DP forward Hamdi Salihi.
Now it's time to turn our attention to central defender Emiliano Dudar...
click to enlargeWhat jumps out immediately is Dudar's marking ability and aerial power, the later of which,
given his size, was to be expected.
Arsene Wenger yesterday denied that he had made his "panic buys" after the disastrous 8-2 defeat
early in the season, but he is now leaving himself open to the same charges in this transfer window
by admitting that he won't be looking at possible defensive reinforcements until after tomorrows
return game against the reigning Premier [.
It seems to be a yearly occurence that Arsenal have a run of injuries to defenders. Last season it
was the centre-backs and now it is the full-backs that have dropped like flies. On the 2nd October
Bacary Sagna was lost to an ankle injury and luckily Wenger had brought in the young Carl Jenkinson

The current injury list of Arsenal consist mainly of our full backs. Sagna, Jenkinson, Gibbs and
now our newly purchased Brazilian left back Andre Santos, all are out with rather severe injuries.
Out of desperation, Arsenal are now deploying their centre halves to play at the defensive half of
the flanks, Vermaelen at left back [.
Arsene Wenger promised at the end of last season that he would be trying to add some height to the
team for those awkward games against Stoke et all, who thrive on the big physical side of the game,
and it looks like he is satisfied with his work. After the win against Norwich Wenger [...]
There will be many Arsenal fans a little surprised at Arsene Wenger's statement that he won't be
buying any more central defenders, as the four we have are enough for the team. Wenger has been

the rumours by [.
What makes a great defender for your fantasy soccer team? He of course has to play in a winning

and then that is a big plus. Of course we wouldnt mind if his price wouldnt be too much either.
So who are these denfenders.

A thoroughly satisfying evening in Yorkshire. With memories of the preceding Leeds and Ipswich
ties still fresh, I said to @feverpitch before the game started last night that we'd know which
Arsenal was present within five minutes of the whistle. Rather neatly, exactly five minutes had
elapsed when Arshavin and Chamakh ping-ponged the ball through to the waltzing Nasri, who scuttled
past a couple of players and sunk one into the bottom right corner.
It is astoundingly clear that Arsene Wenger needs to splash out on a center-back. The overall
quality of players we have there is not good enough firstly Squillaci is a poor mans Silvestre,
Koscielny has very good technique and will develop into a good defender but at the moment he is
error prone and [.
Hi again!
And again sorry for the lack of posts, I sadly haven't been able to write this blog for the last
few months, but hopefully I'm back for good this time.
But as the title says, it's time to take a look at the first half of the ongoing fantasy premier
league season. Who have been player with most flare and who do you want to have on your team as the
second half of the season unravels.
