Manchester United have apparently agreed to sign Alexander Büttner today from Dutch side
Vitesse Arnhem, with a medical scheduled to take place tomorrow. You may recognise the name because
he was in the news last month after agreeing to join Southampton. However, a third party ownership
issue stopped the transfer from taking place.
Both Didier Deschamps and Frank de Boer has ruled themselves out of Liverpool job by insisting
they expects to be at their respective club next season.
Deschamps was considered by Liverpool as a replacement for Rafa Benitez two years ago. However
after the sacking of Kenny Dalglish, Deschamps was again rumored as a potential candidate for the
Liverpool hot seat.
Ajax boss Frank de Boer has ruled himself out of the running to take over as Liverpool manager,
insisting he wants to stay in Amsterdam.
De Boer has been linked with the vacant Anfield job following Kenny Dalglish's sacking last week
after a disappointing season culminated in the Reds' worst league finish for 18 years.
As someone who has always had an interest (some have called it an obsession; meh) in football
around the world, Rafael van der Vaart came to my attention about 10 years ago. Another graduate of
the famed Ajax academy, breaking into the first team and showing his exciting talent on the world
stage.
AMSTERDAM, Netherlands Ajax have completed their swoop for FC Twente ace Theo Janssen in a reported
€3million (£2.6m) deal. The 29-year-old, a key performer for Twente this term, has joined the
Eredivisie champions on a two-year contract, with the option for a third year. Janssen, voted
player of the season by Dutch newspaper De [.
Only at Liverpool could a day where a fee for Luis Suarez is agreed first be dominated by news of
Fernando Torres' possible exit. The last remnant of the Hicks and Gillett era is the perpetual
expectation that only bad things are going to happen. It's going to take more than a few months
where we've seen the return of the King and slightly improved results to wash away the preeminent
feeling of paranoia.
Ajax manager Frank de Boer has admitted he wants any potential move by Luis Suarez to Liverpool to
be conducted quickly.
The Reds have reportedly been in contact with the Dutch club regarding Suarez, however the clubs'
valuation of the player is believed to still be some way apart.
The Merseysiders are anxious to add fire-power to their line-up as they have been over-reliant on
Fernando Torres this season which has seen them fall down the Premier League.
Comments made to a Dutch newspaper by Liverpool's Ryan Babel have sparked
speculation that the surplus winger may be about to seal a loan move back to former club Ajax which
would, in turn, essentially provide his parent club with the necessary leverage to complete a deal
for the Amsterdam side's toothsome striker, one Luis Suarez who also doubles as a
fine shot-stopper on his day.
According to ESPN Soccernet, Liverpool footballer Ryan Babel
would not mind going back to Ajax on loan if Liverpool were to sign striker
Luis Suarez. Babel told De Telegraaf,
"The transfer of Suarez to Liverpool opens the door for me to go to Ajax .
Comments allegedly made by Liverpool winger Ryan Babel in the Dutch press have
sparked speculation that toothy Ajax forward (and Uruguay 'keeper) Luis Suarez may
be on his way to Liverpool, with Babel returning to his former club on loan for the rest of the
season as part of the deal.
Highly rated attacker Luis Suarez appears to be on his way out of Eredivisie giants Ajax as Premier
League side Liverpool have shown an interest in signing the Uruguay international, if a report in
De Telegraaf is to be believed.
The Reds are desperate to strengthen their squad in the winter transfer window following their
disappointing performances in the first half of the season and they reportedly see the 23-year-old
Suarez as the perfect signing.
Repeating your own mistakes is bad. Especially when you've spent good money to bring in people to
tell you how NOT to repeat those mistakes. However, repeating other people's mistakes? There's
something special about that.
Reports out of Toronto have approximately every out-of-a-job manager eager to head north and try

Almost a full day after Cristiano Ronaldo was filmed departing Euro 2012 and arriving back in

Germany vs Netherlands Matchday 2 of Group B Kharkiv, 20:45
One of the fiercest international rivals in world football takes place in Kharkiv today between
Germany and The Netherlands, and we'd bet our last penny that
Frank Rijkaard and Rudi Völler will be celebrating their 22-year
'anniversary' of bad blood by playing up the incident to anyone who wants to listen.
After 12 years of marriage and two kids together (Joelle and Maxim), Ruud and his third wife,
Estelle, are headed to divorce court. According Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, the marriage was on
the rocks for quite a while. Reportedly Ruud had several girlfriends when he worked as a trainer

Just a quick one I thought you all ought to see... I've just stumbled across this story from the
Dutch paper De Telegraaf. Sylvie and Rafa Van Der Vaart are to be immortalised in wax at Madame
Tussaude's Amsterdam branch. They had their images taken earlier this month and the full models are
set to be revealed in late September.
The VDVs As you may have noticed, the latest story to be doing the rounds in the British gutter
press is Van Der Vaart to Schalke.
You'll notice various English papers are quoting Van Der Vaart with this: "I don't want to say anything at the moment, as all my focus is on the European
Championships.

Liverpool flop Ryan Babel has blamed the Anfield club's training regime for his poor form in
England.
The Dutch forward arrived on Merseyside in 2007 with a growing reputation and a hefty £12m price
tag.
But the 24-year-old scored just 12 goals in his four years at Liverpool and was sold to Hoffenheim
in January.
Former Liverpool winger Ryan Babel has criticised the effectiveness of the club's training methods,
arguing that game-preparation in the Bundesliga is superior, which he believes had led to him being
fitter than he ever was at Anfield.
In an interview with De Telegraaf, Babel observed:
"I think I've had really benefited from the move to the Bundesliga.
Fulham fans' tough pre-season is about to get even worse, with reports Moussa Dembele is attracting
overseas attention from Real Madrid.
Having already failed to tempt last season's loan signing, Pavel Pogrebnyak, to stay at the club,
the Cottagers have been fighting tooth and nail to prevent midfield ace, Clint Dempsey moving to
Liverpool.

Playing at home or on the road has been a wash for the Chicago Fire thus far this season -- 10
points at home and 10 on the road. But if Chicago had to choose one or the other, the team clearly
prefers playing in front of its home base.
Mainstream media reports are flying out of The Netherlands this morning
that former Dutch International star and ex-Lazio, Inter and Ajax legend Aron Winter has been named
as Technical Director of Toronto FC. There is yet to be any official announcement from the club
itself but Winter has been quoted extensively including the following excerpts (poorly translated
into English) in the major Dutch news paper De Telegraaf:

Aron Winter in Canada today to Toronto FC to sign a three year contract as technical
director.
