Bale love-in takes physical turn Gareth Bale was the star of the show as Tottenham eased past
Norwich in a relative stroll in the park last night. In an attempt to get some sort of revenge,
Richie De Laet decided to do to Bale what the Welshman had been metaphorically doing to the Norwich
defence [..

Fellt-footed wing-wizard Gareth Bale was in devastating form at Carrow Road on Tuesday night,
scoring two goals in a world class performance. So good was the Welshman's performance that one
couldn't help but fall for the former Southampton star's simian charms.
Norwich City make their first trip to Anfield since the 2004-2005 season, currently situated
ninth in the Premier League and winners of three of their last four. Each of the newly promoted
sides have impressed this season, but the Canaries are the top of the heap thus far. Liverpool have
strung together seven points from their last three and will hope to continue their string of
positive performances in what could potentially be a very tricky match.
Squad sheet: Liverpool v Norwich City
The Norwich manager Paul Lambert has promised that his side will "give it a go" at Anfield on
Saturday. The Canaries adopted a similar approach at Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge earlier this
season and although both games ended in defeat for the visitors, the performances were
encouraging.

There will be a temptation to ring changes against "weaker opposition" at Anfield and with a trip
to Stoke on Wednesday, in a competition Dalglish seems to be taking very seriously.

As noted in the first helping of the TSG Barclay's Premier League
preview, last year saw at least nine teams threatened by relegation entering April, so we're taking
liberties in suggesting that the following five teams will be unequivocally safe.
Ritchie de Laet played on loan for three different clubs last season and it was confirmed this
week he would be spending next season on loan at newly promoted Norwich.
He played just a total of ten games at Sheffield United and Preston North End but was a regular
for Portsmouth after joining them in the January just gone.

Just like in 2009, Manchester United have won the title with a game to go, meaning there is the
opportunity to rest players before the Champions League final.
On the final day two years ago we played Hull who were in a relegation fight. De Laet, Gibson,
Martin, Welbeck and Macheda were amongst the starting line-up but still managed to win 1-0.
Ritchie de Laet joined Portsmouth on loan in January, after already playing for Preston and
Sheffield United on loan this season.
This week he has claimed that he's really happy with the progress he's made over the last few
months on the south coast.
"This must be my best-ever season because I am playing that many games," he said.

The transfer window came and went and Manchester United only registered one new player, Anders
Lindegaard. whose handling left much to be desired against that third division team, Southampton.
