Albert Morgan interview: Man Utd kitman talks about the club's legendary No. 7s - originally posted on Soccerlens.com
When the late Norman Davies left Manchester United in 1996, he left a significant dent in the club's back-room staff. Most of the fans United has now probably don't even recognise the name of the iconic former Kit Manager who served the club for over 20 years.

Cautious optimism is the term I've got to use in reacting to the latest news on two of the
America's most exciting young players. Yes, Stuart Holden is now a Premier League player after

.Old Trafford is all set for another rollicking encounter on this Saturday, as Manchester United
will lock horns with Gary Megson's Bolton on what would be a tough weekend for some of the top
sides in the league. Red Devils would be playing without their star striker, Wayne Rooney. However,
the team will have the services [.
The European season is winding down as Tim Howard got another win for Everton, Maurice Edu
started for Rangers who took the lead in the SPL, and Clint Dempsey and Fulham took one step closer
to European soccer next season. Meanwhile in Sweden where the season is just starting, Charlie
Davies scored again and now has 4 goals.
There has been a fair bit of grumbling since the nominees for the PFA Player of the Year award were
announced, with the list comprising: Edwin Van Der Saar, Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic, Ryan Giggs,
Cristiano Ronaldo (all Manchester United) and Steven Gerrard (Liverpool). So that's five Manchester
United players and Gerrard; I have to admit, I [.
It sure is not easy to beat the richest club in the world and to do it away. To beat the club that
had spent £30 million on a single player whose owners, Dubai sheiks are squandering money
trying to build a mega-team that will pillage the world in a year or two. The team [...]
With more than a half season in Coca Cola Championship gone, a lot of managers have been victimized
by their clubs. In the low patience era among the low tiers, none of the managers are given enough
time to prove their worth. there were a lot of hot benches this autumn , some of the [...]
Arsenal left-back Gael Clichy has NOT broken his leg during this evening's Premier League win over
Bolton Wanderers after the official website confirmed that the Frenchman only suffered "shin
bruising". The 22-year-old had be taken to hospital following a challenge from Trotters
striker Kevin Davies, who was booked for the tackle, and Cesc Fabregas claimed after [.
Arsenal took on a tough Bolton side at the Reebok this afternoon looking to extend their points in
the Premier League table. Arsene Wenger left Robin van Persie and England ace Theo Walcott on the
bench for the trip to the Reebok Stadium. Nicklas Bendtner was handed a start to partner Emmanuel
Adebayor up front and Emmanuel [.
By Andrew Villegas Yeoman Dwayne De Rosario has one goal every 173 minutes this year. Sebastien Le
Toux has one every 270. Rising Star Brek Shea? One every 241 minutes. And Charlie Davies, that
death-defying, on-loan, one-time USMNT'er? He's scored one goal every 137 minutes, better than them
all. Yet, there Davies is every week, [.
After thinking long and hard for the last several hours, I really had no idea what to write about
for this week's Happy Hour post. Of course there has been a significant amount of USMNT and World
Cup news in general, but what topic should I chose to formulate 700 (658) words on? Instead of
writing an incoherent piece on just one topic, I figured I would give you just some quick thoughts
on all the random shit I have been thinking about.
Sucks for Charlie Davies. In a week it will be yesterday's news. By comparison, the John Harkes
controversy lasted 12 years. In early 1996, U.S. Coach Steve Sampson told Harkes that Harkes would
be the captain of the men's national team. Harkes was a stud back then, having earned trophies in
England, and playing well in the 1990 and 1994 World Cups.
With the holidays in full swing, U.S. Soccer news has seemingly taken a back seat to adult
beverages, burgeoning waistlines and dogs wearing antlers. Fortunately for the good folks at The
Yanks Are Coming, the men on the USMNT fancy the use of... Read more

It started with Emile Heskey's spearheading of the England attack, and, during the weekend, it
ended with the former Leicester City and Liverpool striker's blunt rejection of a return to the
international scaffolding.
Again 90 minutes of each game has been kicked and it's time to see who did well in Premier League
Fantasy Football this week. Overall there were few big surprises and a few little ones. Chelsea,
Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham continue with their no points lost-campaign. Bolton,
Blackburn, Portsmouth and Everton still stand at zero.

As July ends so does the ability for Swedish teams to acquire new players. The Swedish transfer
window closed this past Tuesday, which allows us the opportunity to review the most significant
Allsvenskan signings. It's been a fairly interesting shopping window for the Swedish clubs with a
few foreign additions as well as one major move between Allsvenskan clubs.
IFK Göteborg and IF Elfsborg had a golden opportunity to make some space for themselves at the
very top of the league in this fourteenth round. But instead this became a round for the history
books as far as AIK supporters are concerned. Göteborg continued their poor form and lost to AIK
in one of the most exciting games of the year.
With July upon us it's finally time to get back into action again following the month-long
Allsvenskan break. July 1st marks the official end of the silly summer. The transfer window opens
in Sweden as well as the rest of Europe and Allsvenskan starts back up just a few days later.
Transfer speculations are sure to continue with even more fervor as vacations end and European
clubs look over their assets and needs.
Compared to the slow start to the silly season, the Allsvenskan transfer market has been teeming
with activity this past week. Although we are still largely dealing with as of yet incomplete
moves, significant transfers are at least being rumored. No credicble transfer rumors have been
noted for AIK since the return of Dulee Johnson, but I am delighted to report that Bojan Djordic
has signed on for three more years with AIK.
For all the players related to the Coca Cola Championship, transfer window is going on just as it
was guessed. Unlike the Premier League, it appears that rumors in the lower tiers usually turn out
to be quite true and it all ends up exactly as the papers talk. That was exactly what happened to
the [.
Well another win up the shanties of Bolton. I will have to mention that I did predict the score at
3-1 as well. So that win, combined with the rest of the results from Saturday and Sunday, put us
top of the league. Liverpool found a way to draw with Stoke, and ManUre and Chelski played out a
1-1 draw, so it was great for us to get all 3 points away from home.
Arsenal will be looking to shoot down the white's in a tough looking clash at the Reebok tomorrow
afternoon. Gary Megson's side don't have a very good record against Arsene Wenger's boys, and
pundits are already writing them off despite Arsenal's draw against Kiev in midweek. Games between
the two sides usually create plenty of goals, and [.
England beat Brazil. Wow. Sure, it was just a friendly, but Theo Walcott, Jack Wilshere, Joe Hart and Wayne Rooney were in superb form in the 2-1 win. Will it carry over to the league this weekend? Let's take a ... Continue reading →
WASHINGTON - Charlie Davies played provider to Josh Wolff in the first half, and Wolff returned
the favor in the second as both forwards scored to lift D.C. United to a 2-1 victory over the
Seattle Sounders Wednesday night.
Warning...Genuine title contenders do not take a 2-1 lead six minutes from the final whistle, be
awarded a penalty moments later and still not take all three points as Manchester United failed to
do...
FC Sochaux-Montbeliard reports that Charlie Davies is making significant progress as he undergoes
rehab in Delaware. "After leaving Washington two weeks ago, Charlie Davies continues his
rehabilitation in Delaware. After some final check-ups, which he underwent at the hospital from
Monday till Wednesday, the doctors told that the progress Charlie Davies makes, is "fantastic".
Two full weeks have passed since the transfer window opened in Sweden and several players have left
Allsvenskan for foreign clubs. Still, many of the top targets for transfer speculations remain
available for moves in the near future. While transfer activity is likely to remain high in the
coming weeks, here's a rundown of the most significant moves so far this summer.
