The news that Davide Santon was doing well in the Premier League was picked up by the Italian press
yesterday and the 21 year-old got headlines in Italy. Davide Santon I play for a historic club at
Newcastle It's not too often a player leaves Inter-Milan, but Davide was also courted heavily be
Roma [.
Davide Santon had another decent game for Newcastle on Sunday against Aston Villa, and he moved
forward well down the left wing, and defended well too. Davide Santon coming along well at left
back Davide has been introduced slowly and well into English football by manager Alan Pardew,
but the lad still has 13 appearances for the side, and he seems [.
Some of us are just about getting over the shock of seeing a Newcastle side completely dismantled
in the second half at Fulham on Saturday afternoon. Danny Guthrie after scoring great opening
goal on Saturday After bossing the first half and Danny Guthrie scoring a wonderful goal with his
left foot, everything looked set up to get all 3 points and move into 5th [.
Speaking after Newcastle United's abject second half capitulation to Fulham in yesterday's game at
Craven Cottage, our Silver Supremo, Alan Pardew, looked for reasons for the collapse. "I can't
really explain what happened to our back four," he said continuing: "It wasn't a case of us not
trying second half, we just lacked mental discipline [.
It's always difficult for a youngster to leave his home country and settle in England. Davide
Santon - has settled down well on Tyneside But that's exactly what Davide Santon had to do last
August, when Newcastle signed the Italian International for around £5M from top Italian
club Inter-Milan.
Leon Best got the job done for Newcastle on Sunday, when with the one chance he got during the
game against QPR, he put the ball into the back of the net. Leon Best scores the winner on Sunday
It was the kind of skill you hope for from a striker when it matters, as [...]
I think it's fair to say that yesterday's win against QPR at Saint James' Park wasn't the prettiest
game to watch, though it was still a very welcome and grinding win. While the Toon faithful may not
like seeing such meagre fare, I feel it's a very satisfying way to collect three very important
points [.
Alan Pardew was simply delighted with the performance of his team yesterday, and especially in
the second half. Danny Guthrie challenges Jamie Mackie in yesterday's game The game turned when
Yohan Cabaye had to leave the field with an ankle injury after 20 minutes, and Ryan Taylor again
showed his versatility as the emergency central midfielder and did very well, and Danny
Guthrie had a terrific [.
Alan Pardew was extremely pleased following the 1-0 win against QPR yesterday afternoon at St.
James' Park, and handed new manager Mark Hughes his first loss as the new manager of the London
side. Davide Santon in action yesterday against QPR Newcastle started the game in rather dodgy
fashion, and for the first t20 minutes or so were decidedly [.
Venue: St James' Park, Toon. Date: Sun 15th Jan 2011. Kick-Off: 1:30 pm. Referee: Chris Foy. United
came to this game on the back of 2 excellent straight wins against Man Utd 3-0 (got that one in
early today!) and Blackburn 2-1 in the FA Cup. In contrast, Queens Park Rangers had taken only one

How the Magpies' defense plays tomorrow will be an important factor in how we do against
tomorrow's visitors, QPR. Mike Williamson playing solidly at the back for Magpies It's a bit of a
new formation at the back, from the back four who did so well in the first 11 games of the
season, when we were unbeaten.
Alan Pardew has told his Newcastle players they will have to be ready for QPR tomorrow. Alan
Pardew warning his players about QPR Mark Hughes has just been appointed manager in place of the
sacked Neil Warnock, and while the London club have lost six of their last eight league games and
drew the other two, they will be wanting to stop [.

Newcastle started the season in great form and were unbeaten in their first 11 game of the
season, which equalled a Newcastle record. Davide Santon - has looked good in last few games But
then we went into a bit of a slump with six games without a win, although in three of those
games we were up against both Manchester clubs, away from home, and Chelsea at home.
Newcastle had a good week last week following the disappointing 3-1 defeat at Liverpool. Danny
Guthrie should be available for QPR game Newcastle beat Manchester United 3-0 in their best
display for many a year last Wednesday, and their first win against the Red Devils in over ten
years. And then Newcastle got through to the 4th round of the FA [.
The video finally went out that showed just how good a goal Ben Arfa scored yesterday. Ben Arfa -
after scoring pointing at crowd In case you still haven't seen it, here's a short video of the
goals yesterday, plus Ben Arfa's classic goal, which may be the best individual goal ever scored
at St. James' [.
Ever since Mike Williamson arrived on Tyneside, we always thought he was a very good defender, and
he's also a smashing lad and a top class professional. Mike Williamson great game against
Manchester United And with players like Demba Ba, Cheick Tiote and Yohan Cabaye getting most of the
plaudits for Newcastle's terrific win [.
Firstly, let me just start by saying Newcastle thoroughly deserved their win and it was a win by
United more than a loss by Manchester. They were never allowed to settle on the ball, from the off.
Newcastle also took the game to them, showed no fear whatsoever, gave no respect and pressed on
with [..
The game last night is what Newcastle fans dream of, and what they live for it's as simple
as that. Alan Pardew orchestrated a fabulous win for Newcastle Here are some things we took from
the game: We don't know if this is the last game for Demba Ba and Cheick Tiote before they go off
to Africa, but they [.
It was chucking it down with rain as the teams took the field at Anfield, with Newcastle United
wearing their first choice kit of Puma's version of black and white stripes. Three ex-united
players were in the Liverpool team: Bellamy, Enrique, and of course, Andy Carroll. There was also
some bloke called Jordan Henderson, who, [.
It's obvious that Ben Arfa was simply delighted with his sub appearance yesterday at the Reebok
Stadium. Ben Arfa - getting towards being fully fit The Frenchman came on after 61 minutes and
changed the game for Newcastle, and he got the very important first goal on 69 minutes with an
exhibition of his great skill.
Bolton Wnaderers 0 2 Newcastle United (Hatem Ben Arfa (69), Demba Ba (71) Newcastle United were in
their all black strip for this game, and enjoyed the backing of 4,000 travelling Geordies who
pretty much took over the ground at least in terms of noise! As a result of the Toon Army being

Newcastle didn't look solid last night in defense, and that may be an understatement. An unhappy
Alan Pardew after the game last night West Brom don't usually do very well and don't usually win
on Tyneside, and in fact last night was the first win for them at Newcastle since way back
in 1977, when I was only just past being middle-aged.
One very positive thing coming out of last night's game, amid all the doom and gloom
surrounding the defeat, was the display of 19 year-old Haris Vuckic. Alan Pardew we were not
disciplined or controlled Haris was making his first Premier League start ever, and he
looked a class player and was unlucky not to score a few times.
Newcastle fans are pleased that Davide Santon has come through big time in the last couple of
Newcastle games. Davide Santon in action against Swansea Based on his first two games in the PL,
and given they are the first starts he has made, his performances bode very well for the
future of the 20 year-old Italian International on Tyneside.
Davide Santon is loving life at Newcastle, and that's always great to hear. Davide Santon
impressive in last two Newcastle games Davide has broken into the first team, at last, and he has
played well in the last two games, and he will learn form that experience, and will only get better
the more PL games he gets under [.
Davide Santon had a very good game for Newcastle today in the 0-0 draw against Swansea City Davide
Santon in action today against Swansea Anybody who plays for Italy seven times while they are
still a teenager is some player, and Davide Santon proved he is a top player in the making at St.
James' Park this afternoon.
Newcastle United looked like they were back to something like their best form this afternoon
against Swansea City at St. James' Park. Demba Ba - put ball just over the bar this afternoon And
certainly it was a much improved performance from last week, with Coloccini back in central
defense, and this player is now so important [.
Davide Santon had his first Premier League start of his Newcastle career and we thought he did
well. Davide Santon played quite well at Norwich And in our poll for Man of the Match for the
Norwich game, Davide was second top with 11% of the vote behind winner Demba Ba, who got a
massive 71% of the vote.
Demba Ba has given a good interview to the local press this morning, and he seems to have hit
the nail on the head about Newcastle's performance on Saturday. Tamas Kadar is this player not
better than Simspon or Perch? Ba has said that we were missing our two center-backs and if the
replacements had been big and massive and could [.
We have to be honest and say that once it was announced on Saturday afternoon that Coloccini
would not be fit to play against Norwich, it was always going to be hard to get anything
out of the game at Carrow Road. Davide Santon should keep his place next Saturday at left back
Newcastle have been unlucky in their last four games, but all that's happening is that the luck
is [.
Highlights of our disappointing 4-2 defeat at the hands of Delia Smith's Canaries at Carrow Road.
As usual, I will endeavour to update these when better, longer ones become available. Alan Pardew
went into this game matching his opponents with a two big lads upfront appraoch, forsaking Ben Arfa
for the silky skills of Shola [.
The result at Carrow Road was not good today, but Newcastle played some decent football and
didn't have any luck at all. Demba Ba two goals and excellent game today Newcastle had some of
their best players missing in Fabricio Coloccini, Steven Taylor, Danny Guthrie and Cheick
Tiote, but two players Newcastle brought in last summer looked very good indeed today Demba Ba
and Davide Santon.
Alan Pardew spoke about Tamas Kadar in his pre-match press conference on Thursday afternoon.
Tamas Kadar his new squad number is 40 Alan was being pressed initially in his press conference as
to who would play alongside James Perch on Saturday afternoon at Norwich. He was asked if the squad
was too small and was asked specially [.
As someone once said: "Defence is just another way to attack." You can just start to imagine (go
on, imagine it) how important our stable defence has been for our attacking play this season. Take
the two central defenders out of the equation and what happens? Well, we may find out next weekend
if Coloccini [.
There is good news this morning that Newcastle captain Fabrico Coloccini thinks he has a chance
to make the game at Norwich on Saturday. Tamas Kadar - will Pardew give him his chance on Saturday?
And while we've heard very little from Newcastle manager Alan Pardew this week on the injury
front, he will still need to decide who will play alongside Perch [.
We thought Ryan Taylor was exposed in the first half on Saturday against Chelsea. Ryan Taylor
played well this season While Ryan Taylor has played very well this season in an unaccustomed
position of left back, he has been exposed a few times this season when the player he is up
against is a fast [.
It was all going so well, Newcastle United had just earned a fantastic point at Old Trafford and
were in confident mood ahead of their clash with Chelsea.
However, things change quickly in Football and Alan Pardew's side are now facing an injury
crisis that threatens to derail their fine start to the Premier League season after Chelsea ran out
3-0 winners at St James' Park, a score line which very much flattered Andre Villas-Boas'
charges.
