Serie A Review

If you happened to read my previous Serie A Review, you would know that there were several quality games this weekend including the match between Inter and Roma, and the Milan Lazio game in Rome. Juventus were also hoping to keep up their title ambitions with a win at Atalanta.

Catania 0-0 Napoli

Atalanta 2-5 Juventus

Udinese 0-1 Fiorentina

Bologna 3-1 Palermo

Bari 1-0 Livorno

Parma 2-0 Chievo

Cagliari 2-0 Sampdoria

Round-Up

A spirited performance from Atalanta ended with no points as Juventus went onto win 5-2 at the Atleti Azzurri d'Italia.

The old and the new keep Juve in contention

It all started on September 19th in the year 2000. David Trezeguet, a high profile 40 billion lira signing from the then French champions AS Monaco, scored his first goal for Juventus an 83rd minute winner against Panathinaikos in the Champions League.

Nine years later, the 32-year-old Frenchman, who spent his formative years in Argentina watching his father finish his own playing career, celebrated his 167th goal for the Bianconeri, making him the most prolific foreign goalscorer in the club's history.

Ireland To End France’s Cycle Of Success?

A late equaliser from Totti saved Roma a point at the Renzo Barbera while the dark days at AC Milan appear to be getting ever darker as they slumped to a 1-0 defeat to Udinese.
