McAuley scores v Chelsea - Healy on target

Gareth McAuley scored the opener for Leicester against Chelsea in the week in the league cup. His team led 3-2 with 16 minutes left but Chelsea went on to win 4-3.

David Healy got an assist in Fulham's 3-1 win over Reading this afternoon, and then followed it up with his first goal since mid-August.

A linesman has denied David Healy his third goal in three games for Fulham. Fulham were trailing 2-1 to Middlesborough when Healy appeared to have given them the equaliser, but despite the ball being 'clearly over the line', even in the words of to the BBC interviewer talking to LS, it was ruled out. In a move that will surprise no-one, Sir David Healy has signed a 4 year deal at Fulham for £1.5 Million.

Healy: "Obviously I know Lawrie Sanchez well and through his time as manager of Northern Ireland he has given me a lot of support, so I am really looking forward to playing under him in the Premier League."

LS: "David has showcased his striking pedigree at the highest level with Northern Ireland in recent years, and I have every confidence that he will produce the same form for Fulham.

Healy in Fulham move

Northern Ireland striker David Healy has joined Fulham on a four-year deal from League One side Leeds United. The 27-year-old former Preston man is believed to have cost in the region of £2.5 million.

Healy, who learnt his trade at Manchester United, has the Northern Ireland goalscoring record of 29 goals in 56 games and nine so far in their Euro 2008 qualifying campaign, making him the top scorer in Europe.
