Just months after retiring from professional football, former Bochum striker Tommy Bechmann has given his pension fund a boost by winning the Danish lottery.

The 35-year-old, who represented Bochum and Freiburg in the German top tiers, was on holiday in Spain with his family when he was informed he'd scooped the five million krone (around £585,000) grand jackpot.
