Before i begin my update i would like to offer my deepest sympathies to the family, friends and
team-mates of Espanyol club captain Daniel Jarque who died after he suffered a heart attack
following a training session yesterday. My thoughts are with them at this sad time.
Moving onto the title of this update only a couple of weeks ago hardly any Real Sociedad supporters
would have heard of Antoine Griezmann since he was in the youth set up and yet to even make the
step up to Sanse however with 4 goals in 2 pre-season friendlies he is the talk of San Sebastian.

today is devoted to Daniel Jarque González, who tragically passed away at the age of twenty-six
while his RCD Espanyol team and he were on their preseason tour of Italy. According to the RCD
Espanyol website, "Tragedy struck Espanyol and the family of Dani Jarque this evening.
Espanyol have confirmed the very sad news that their captain Daniel Jarque has passed away at the
age of 26. Jarque, who was pronounced captain of the side just a month ago, died while on the phone
to a relative in the early evening of Saturday 8th August. Reports suggest that Jarque suffered a
heart attack [.
With the Spanish football season only two and a half weeks away, teams are finishing their last
preseason friendlies and making their final changes in preparation for the La Liga season. There
are many questions concerning each of the twenty teams in La Liga, and this preview will explore
