This Sunday we have the final of the African Nations Cup, while the rivalry between Manchester
United and Liverpool continues on Saturday. AC Milan face third place Udinese in Serie A before
taking on Arsenal in the Champions League which has now reached the knock-out stages. Listen to

The English FA have been forced to strip John Terry of the England captaincy after outcry over his
racism case being put back till after this Summer's Euro 2012 Finals in Poland and Ukraine with
many looking for the Chelsea defender to be stripped of even an
England Jersey
.
Tory MP Damian Collins who has campaigned for FIFA reform hit out saying:
"He is in a public position as England captain.
Chelsea and England captain John Terry's problems are not about to end any time soon after
fellow players and anti-racist campaigners called on Fabio Capello to exclude him from his squad
for the European championships.
These sentiments come after Wednesday's landmark ruling where the FA announced that Terry would
only face trial for allegedly racially abusing Anton Ferdinand until after the tournament.

With the hectic Christmas period fast approaching, I thought it was time to assess our performances
to date in the Premier League and the Carling Cup to date.
We have played 17 games so far this season, winning ten, drawing 5 and losing only 2.
Reasonable results by any standard.
What is obvious to everyone is the fact that we are not converting enough of our chances into goals
and wins.
On this week's podcast, Damian looks forward to the exciting climax in the Brazilian championship
with a host of derbies and the title in the balance.

The European football season is back and so on this week's predictions the first of the 2011-12
season Damon and Damian predict some of the big footballing battles that take place this week.
Following this morning's chat about Arsenal's season, we're now taking a look at Aston Villa's,
with Damian Dugdale from The Villa Blog. With Villa replacing Gerard Houllier with Alex McLeish,
who has relegated hated rivals Birmingham twice, there's maybe not an awful lot to be happy about
if you're a Villa fan at the moment.

The final of the World Cup 2011 for women takes place this weekend, while the Copa America in
Argentina has now reached the quarter-final stage. Damon and Damian try to predict the games
involving Japan and the USA, Uruguay and Argentina, as well as Paraguay and Brazil.
It's normally Sesame Street "that is brought to you by numbers..." but today its the turn of
Liverpool FC to introduce their 14, 26, 11 and 20 for the forthcoming 2011/12 season.
It wasn't that long ago that Liverpool's summer purchases were sadly under the control of two
muppets, neither as funny as Statler & Waldorf although their promises were certainly
laughable.

In our last main report of the 2010-11 season, Damon and Damian review the footballing year for
their clubs Liverpool FC and Tottenham Hotspur FC a season of two halves for one and a roller
coaster ride for the other.
Craig Baillie and Damian Petrou, partners of Brave New Media which is located in Minneapolis,
Minnesota and who also have offices in Los Angeles, California and Cyprus, Greece, committed to the
NSC Minnesota Stars this past winter to help promote team this season. In doing so they are hoping
to help to find new owners for Minnesota which is currently owned and run the North American Soccer
League.
The bribery plot surrounding the 2018 and 2022 FIFA World Cup bids continues to thicken.
The Sunday Times of England claims to have evidence that shows that FIFA Executive Committee
members Issa Hayatou (Cameroon) and Jaques Anouma (Ivory Coast) were each paid $1.5 million to vote
for Qatar back in December.

The defeat against Barcelona didn't only left Arsenal with bitter taste of defeat but also more
injury problems especially in the keeper department as on that game they were forced to finish the
game without Wojciech Szczesny, who has been picked as the club's number one after Lukas Fabianski
injury.
