Boro rue missed chances at Kettering

Stevenage will get home this evening and wonder how they didn't end up taking all 3 points after a dominant second half performance. Although Kettering had a couple of opportunities in added time, the second half was mostly at the other end as a host of Boro players missed chances to give the Hertfordshire side the victory.

Well, at last UEFA has shown some sense and overturned the ban on Eduardo for diving. A couple of week's ago we featured that decisions in our Ugly section - it just seemed crazy to start handing out bans for simulation - a can of worms. It seems that UEFA has agreed and backed down after Arsenal protested.

The football world was saddened to hear of Sir Bobby Robson's death last week. The former England manager was 77 and universally regarded as the gentleman of English football. One of his former clubs, Newcastle United start off their Championship campaign without a manager and have been described as a joke by their club captain.

The new season in Europe is a few weeks away. Will there be a shift in the power balance in Europe from the Premier league to La Liga? Well, Cristiano Ronaldo thinks so, and the odds offered by betting companies do too. They suggest that Barcelona and Real Madrid are the favourites at 5-1, followed by the English teams Chelsea and Manchester United at 7-1, and Liverpool at 10-1.
