Omar Gonzalez will return to LA Galaxy after suffering a serious injury in his first training
session while on loan with German side FC Nurnberg.
The 23-year-old defender will have surgery for a left ACL rupture after colliding with right-back
and fellow American Timothy Chandler. He has officially been recalled from his loan spell by the
Galaxy to undergo treatment.

Lee Nguyen's long journey is leading back home.
Nguyen, a Texas native, signed a multi-year deal with MLS on Tuesday, bringing a one-time U.S.
attacking prospect to the league after six years overseas. Nguyen appeared three times in 2007 for
the U.
Roy Rees coached the USA at four U-17 World Cups, from 1987 through 1993, a tenure during which the
young Americans celebrated historic victories over Brazil and Italy. Rees also co-founded the
Houston Texans in 1983 and helped create the Dallas Texans in 1993. He died on Saturday at age
74.

Minnesota had two teams that made it through the US Youth Soccer Region II Midwest Regionals and
qualify for the Nationals in Phoenix, Arizona. Both the boys U-16 Minnesota Thunder Elite Academy
and the girls U-19 Woodbury Inferno competed in that tournament last week but neither team
qualified for the final.

The former U.S. national team captain watched intently as a youth academy team from Major League
Soccer's New York Red Bulls took on the Dallas Texans, a top club team.
It's the official start of the silly season in MLS as the transfer window officially opened up
today. However, that hasn't stopped teams from announcing all sorts of trades and signings in
preparation for the opening of the summer transfer window. There's been no official announcements
from the Seattle Sounders, but trialists have been coming through camp and there are plenty of
rumors floating around.
Finals Week has showcased some of the best youth soccer players in the United States, and there are
bound to be Academy players that have made the crossover to the U.S. youth national teams. This
year's Finals Week in Milwaukee is no exception, with players representing the U.S. U-15, U-17 and
U-18 Men's National Teams.
With six teams still in the hunt for a place in the championship game in the U-17/18 group at
2011 Development Academy Finals Week, we have a breakdown on what happens with any combination of
results.

Well ... It's raining here in Milwaukee and has been storming all morning, but don't worry - We
have a plan. With some slight adjustments to the schedule, all four U-17/18 games will be played on
turf today at Uihlein Soccer Park and Marquette Univeristy. Here is what our second U-17/18 match
day looks like now:

official match day, with Pateadores, Dallas Texans, FC Dallas and CASL Chelsea FC Academy earning
three points from the first game.

The U-15/16 age group wrap up their Development Academy Playoff games today, sending the top team
from each of the eight groups to Milwaukee, Wis., for Finals Week. Below are the possible
advancement scenarios for the eight groups:
Group 1
Seattle Sounders FC advances with win OR draw
- With Seattle Sounders loss, the winner of Empire United and Soccer Academy moves to tie breaker
scenarios to determine who advances
Group 2
Dallas Texas advances with win
- If Dallas Texans lose, Concorde Fire will advance with win OR draw
- If Dallas Texans lose, Albertson SC advances with win
- If Dallas Texans draws and Albertson SC wins, the group would move to tiebreaker scenarios
- If Dallas Texans draws and Concorde Fire wins, Concorde Fire advances

Eight teams qualified for the 2011 Finals Week in Milwaukee after winning their respective group
over three days of play at the U-17/18 Playoffs.

Pateadores advanced win a 3-1 win over Empire United and a strong nine points
Group 2
The group was up for grabs in the New York Red Bulls and Real Salt Lake AZ game, with the Red Bulls
winning 3-0
Group 3
Even with today's loss, Players Development Academy advanced with their group-high six points
Group 4
In a close race, Dallas Texans took the group with a 4-1 win over Charlotte Soccer Academy and a
plus 7 goal differential
Group 5
FC Dallas defeated Real Colorado 3-1 to win the group
Group 6
The group was up for grabs in the Seattle Sounders FC and Baltimore Bays Chelsea game, and
Baltimore advanced with the 2-0 win
Group 7
Weston FC advanced with a 3-1 win over Derby County Wolves and a greater goal differential than
Chivas USA
Group 8
The group was determined by the Albertson SC and CASL Chelsea FC Academy game, with CASL Chelsea
winning 2-0

Woodbury, Minn. natives Kassey Kallman (Florida State; Woodbury, Minn.) and
Catie Sessions (Wisconsin; Woodbury, Minn.) have both been called back into the
U.S. Women's U-20 National Team camp. This is the 3rd call up for Kallman and the 2nd for Sessions
who's last a training camp was at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif.

Every Easter week, Dallas plays host to one of the largest and more prominent youth tournaments in
the nation (and the world). This year we had the opportunity to travel north from FBM HQ in Austin
to take in the thirty-second edition of the Dallas Cup. Hundred of teams, thousands of players, and
tens of thousands of fans took in a week's worth of action.
In another solid production from Nike, members of the Dallas Texans Academy team - as well as
Barcelona -
talk about the importance of bouncing back after a loss. The Texans opened Dallas Cup Super Group
play with a loss to Arsenal and, you might have heard, that Barcelona dropped its first match to FC
Dallas Academy.
The four Development Academy teams taking part in the Dallas Cup Super Group have each played two
games so far at Pizza Hut Park, and are holding their own against some of the top clubs in the
world.
FC Dallas Academy stole the show on Sunday inside the stadium with a 3-1 win against the highly
touted Academy team from FC Barcelona.
The Dallas Texans, FC Dallas Juniors, Real Salt Lake-Arizona and Houston Dynamo are set to compete
against clubs from around the world in this year's Dallas Cup, which kicks off this weekend at
Pizza Hut Park. All four teams will be competing in the Super Group - one of the most prestigious
tournaments in the world for youth teams.

With 2011 well underway, so are the schedules of the U.S. youth Women's National Teams. The U.S.
U-20s, at the very beginning of a fresh cycle gearing up for qualifying for the 2012 FIFA U-20
Women's World Cup, are in action starting this past weekend while the U-23s will take a group of
mostly WPS playersto Spain for a four-team tournament later this month.
The U.S. Soccer Development Academy will have four teams participating in the 2011 Dallas Cup XXXII
Under-19 Super Group. The Dallas Texans, FC Dallas, Houston Dynamo and Real Salt Lake AZ will be
part of the 16 teams in the Super Group that includes Arsenal FC (England), FC Barcelona(Spain), SC
Corinthians Paulista (Brazil), Coritiba FC (Brazil), Eintracht Frankfurt (Germany), Tigres
(Mexico), Club Bolívar (Bolivia), LD Alajuelense (Costa Rica), CS Cartagines (Costa Rica),
Chorrillo FC (Panama), Japan National Team U-18 and Vancouver Whitecaps(Canada).
The 16 participants for the Super Group at the 32nd Dallas Cup were announced on Friday, and nine
of them are representing CONCACAF club sides. One is from Mexico (UANL Tigres), two from Costa Rica
(Alajuelense and Cartaginés), one from Panama (Chorrillo FC), another from Canada (Vancouver
Whitecaps FC), and four from the USA (Dallas Texans, FC Dallas, Houston Dynamo, Real Salt Lake
Arizona).
