The Footie 30 September @ 10:52 AM EST
It seems that David Beckham will do anything these days to be in an advertisement. I would have
expected more underwear posters but this time it will be in a Star Trek outfit. Beckham and Noel
Gallagher of Oasis were seen at a London photoshoot dressed as undisclosed Start Treck
Characters.
It's still unknown what the commercial was for except that it will involve Beckham, Gallagher,
Ian Brown, Snoop Dogg, Agyness Deyn and Daft Punk.

Here is my awful "posed with someone more well-known, thinner & taller than me" photo with The
Rapture's Luke Jenner. I just got home from the semi-comeback gig at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park,
NJ and I have a few beery things to say about it so please bear with me.
1. You CANNOT deny the power of a good cowbell/saxophone player.

It doesn't get anymore electro-dork than geeking out over Daft Punk's beefy theme to the upcoming
Tron sequel. I don't know if I'm more excited about the film or the soundtrack. I guess it doesn't
matter since I'll cop both of them on release day and probably spend more time obsessing about both

Well just one of them really. Thomas Bangalter dropped the robot schtick for one night and people
haven't been so excited in a club since "Free Ecstasy" night. The elusive French hitmaker behind
classic Daft Punk joints like "Da Funk" and "Aerodynamic" hit the decks at LA's Cinespace for Busy
P's birthday soiree at the Dim Mak party and played (get this) only 3 songs.

See, this is what I'm talking about. Put the fire brigade on notice because Canuckistan will be on
fire August 20th. Toronto's Park Lane club is hosting the official after-party for Wednesday's
World Cup qualifying game between Canada and Jamaica and it's going to be bananas. Why? Because
it's hosted by Dwayne de Rosario, Julian deGuzman and Fulham's Paul Staltari.

Somebody over at EA Sports reads BrooklynVegan something fierce and I ain't mad at that. The
tracklisting for FIFA09 was released today and I could have sworn I was looking at a list of
bookings for the Mojave stage at Coachella festival. It's almost as if the target demo for this
game is people who have ever uttered the phrase "what time does Daft Punk go on?

Happy Independance Day y'all. May your grill be as hot as a Daft Punk show and your beer as cold as
Landon's finishing. Enjoy your day...and the video.

"We Can Rebuild Him, We Have the Technology" By Dr. Jonathan Williams Ladies and gentlemen, the
future has arrived. We have the technology to rebuild Ronaldo's knee and make some other
improvements as well. Originally, our medical staff wanted to simply remove Ronaldo's brain and
insert it into a robot, however that plan wasn't feasible according to [.
