Launching his new underwear range for H&M,
David Beckham said that his sons' reaction on
glimpsing their dad in his latest unclad ad campaign was: "'Oh my GOD Daddy - not again. They were

Tottenham have invited the six-year-old son of former star striker Steffen Iverson to join their

"Before I met Frank, I couldn't have cared less about football. But from the first time I went
to a match and saw the stadium, it was electric. I go to all the home games with Frank's dad, Frank

If you're eight or ten or twelve and your dad's just recently started taking you to Craven
Cottage, you're probably loving life at the moment.
Most of us get into football because of the excitement of it, the hero worship, and the strange
thrill of seeing a small round thing manipulated so expertly.
The U.S. team has proved quite popular with the Canadian media so far (and thanks also to the
several American journalists in town!). Of course, the U.S. playes obliged with many interviews
which of course serve to promote the game, the team and the tournament. Above, Becky Sauerbrunn
gives her thoughts on various soccer topics.

Gooners desperately hoping that Arsene Wenger will finally open his dusty old cheque book and

Frank Lampard speaking to Chelsea TV after the Sunderland game was keen to point out that although
the win was important, we should be finishing off games rather than allow the nerves to kick in.
It's been something that has been our achilles heel this season without question.
Lampard said:
"We have to fight our way through that [the nerves at the end of the
game].
We tweeted Sunday afternoon that Benny Feilhaber is a huge fan of the Baltimore Ravens. Many people
wondered ... well ... why? Benny tells us ...
"It started with my dad. He worked in Brazil but he always had trips to the U.S., and the first
football game he watched was with the Cleveland Browns.

Testing, testing Everton star Royston Drenthe brought his young son out to face the Match of the

were, they couldn't quite match up to the microphone. Drenthe Jnr just couldn't get enough of it.
That's his Christmas present sorted.

When I first read Ian Joy's tale I was struck with just how personal Joy allowed himself to be. He
told his story of depression with no shame and truly opened himself up to what he went through. His
candid approach led me to reach out to him.
Initially, I had absolutely no intentions of interviewing him.
Frightening Frimpong Archie Wilshere, son of Arsenal star Jack, was reduced to tears when his dad

By J Hutcherson - WASHINGTON, DC (Nov 29, 2011) US Soccer Players -- When I was a kid, there was a
guy at my church who was the son of a professional baseball player. His dad spent 14 years pitching
in the big leagues. The son played major college football and minor league baseball. Obviously,
this was of interest to those of us who were into pro sports - meaning every kid I knew.
I'm taking The Mail at face value, even though the whole Seyi Ojo thing blew up in our faces,
and saying that this is a done deal. A DONE DEAL. More, after the jump:
Planning for the future
Not much can be reported about the kid. Except that he's a central defender, and will join an
already brimming crop of talent at The Bridge, including Jeffrey Bruma, Tomas Kalas, Nathaniel
Chalobah, Nathan Ake, et all.
And their funniest recent tweet 1. Jamie Redknapp LiterallyJamie "To cheer Dad up, we've bought him

Luca, who was five-years-old, had been battling leukaemia for eighteen months.
Got, Not Got: When Esso's freebie football club badges mixed petrol with

It's been labelled "football porn" for "nostalgia addicts", and "a major contribution to
football history". 'Got, Not Got' is this Xmas's must-have football nostalgia book... As the world
spirals towards an all-encompassing and catastrophic war over dwindling oil supplies, the petrol
station can be a bit of a depressing place to visit – especially when it costs the same to fill
your tank as it did to buy your first car.
We fear that all of these book-related events are going to make us do something crazy, so we
present you this last one before drinking away the memories.

Not only do Premier League footballers have to watch their own behaviour, but they also have to
hope that their family members behave themselves too. Just ask Wayne Rooney.
Well Rooney's ex-United team-mate, Kieron Richardson, is the latest footballer to see his family
in the 'papers for the wrong reasons.
Never forget Billy's bravery.. but remember the name of kid Mason
I know Billy Sharp and he is a big character. Even so, no-one could have expected him to play

it brought a tear to my eye.

The Woodland Park Zoo and Seattle Sounders teamed up have some animals play with soccer balls.
Who doesn't like big cats, wolves, bears and a miniture donkey with the game we love?

Oh, and go to the zoo as an adult some time. I went with my dad over the summer and it was a
cool way to remember youth, but learn some stuff.
Wow, this is extremely heartwarming stuff! We told you last night that
Maurine from the Brazil National Women's team made a personal vow to bring home
the Pan American gold medal because it was her late dad's wish (he passed away on Sunday). Well,
Dad must've been watching from above because Maurine scored the only goal in their
1-0 victory over Mexico last night!
Maurine from Brazil Women's team will be facing off against Mexico in a crucial semi-final match
at the Pan American games today. But Maurine, a right winger, has a greater mission than her
teammates. After her dad passed away on Sunday, she wants to fulfill his last wish: "My father
asked me to take the gold medal home.
Chelsea's performance (especially in the first half) and result on Wednesday night was fantastic
against (it has to be said) a disappointing Genk side at Stamford Bridge. For me, it was simply the
best night of Chelsea football for many different reasons.

If Robin van Persie doesn't sign a new contract at Arsenal in the next few months, the rumours that
he is leaving will be off the Richter Scale.
Any theory that made Dinosaurs extinct will have nothing on this.
Robin's reluctance to agree to a new deal is apparently linked to what Arsene Wenger does in the
January transfer window.
Michael Owen's brother Terry (40) is the latest person to be investigated into an
alleged betting probe after ringing in a £200 bet on Wayne Rooney staying at Old Trafford
at 7/2 when everyone else was betting against the United striker staying.
Terry rang in the bet an hour before Rooney announced he was staying at Old Trafford and
investigators believe he had inside information which is apparently illegal in the gambling
world.

Did someone's Dad have another flutter on a red card?
England secured themselves a ball in Sepp Blatter's Polkraine 2012 perspex fishbowl with a 2-2
draw against Montenegro in rain-drenched Podgorica last night, finishing top of Group G with an
unbeaten record and everything in the garden looking rosy including the shiny red card shown to
Wayne Rooney who, with England 2-1 up, hoofed Miodrag Dzudovic across the calves after being
dispossessed and duly left his side a man down for the last 20 minutes.
Sent-off? You bet England star Wayne Rooney turned a thousand jokes into reality by getting
sent-off in last night's Euro 2012 qualifier against Montenegro. Following his dad's arrest over an
alleged betting scam that centred on a player deliberately deliberately getting sent-off. Of all
the matches not to lose your head and get a red [.
What are the odds Carlo Ancelotti's next English job is at Tottenham? Derek McGovern's

The fact Carlo Ancelotti has openly canvassed for the Arsenal job without censure shows how far
Arsene Wenger's stock has fallen. The former Chelsea boss said this week: "I have a strong will to
work in England again and it is evident Wenger's bench is wobbling.
