The phrase "emotional rollercoaster" is one that is overused in football these days, but the
supporters of Darlington FC are rapidly becoming more than familiar with the term after another
week in which their club sailed close to extinction before receiving confirmation from its joint
administrator that it had permission to continue to trade and therefore play until the end of this
season.
Before I say anything else, let me just make it clear that I think that Gary Speed's death
yesterday, at the age of 42, is unquestionably tragic; an awful, shocking piece of news. It's
difficult for me to imagine a circumstance so terrible that hanging myself seemed the best option,
and I hope I never experience anything remotely approaching it.
In an unusual display of awareness of world current affairs, Romania supporters wound up Bosnia
fans with a banner in support of alleged Serbian war criminal Ratko Mladić during last night's

Morning all,
those of you who know me and know this site will know that I am not a fan of the Interlull in
general. I find international football pointless, tedious and generally injurious to the health of
our players, and by its very existence it robs us of real football where real football is that
involving Arsenal.

When efm, the only English speaking radio station in Seoul, Korea (pop 20 million) through it's
Current Affairs program The Evening Show wanted someone to talk to from Australia next week ahead
of the Australia v Korea Republic game....
they could have chose Denis Commetti, Peter Fitzsimons, Rebecca Wilson, Andrew Demitriou, Greg
Inglis, Ricky Ponting and co.
