I'm not a Columbus Crew supporter. I don't live in Ohio...but I do follow Major League Soccer and
i've watched more than a few Crew matches over the past two seasons. I've seen the Crew go from
laughing stock of the league to MLS Cup Champions. While there were several factors that helped
turn the club around and change their fortunes, there is no doubt that Guillermo Barros Schelotto
was a huge part of that success.

With Miroslav Klose and Luca Toni locked at 0 Bundesliga goals this season, some Bayern fans
will probably welcome this opportunity to escape into nostalgia for a short while.
In 1974 Gerd Müller succeeded where Michael Ballack had failed in 2002 and won the Bundesliga,
Champions Cup (Champions League) and the World Cup.

The team got some bad news today when it learned that goalkeeper Josh Wicks will be out
4-6 weeks after suffering a dislocated shoulder and MCL sprain in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the San Jose
Earthquakes. Wicks' injuries came on the same play in the second half.
The injury to Wicks leaves United with one active goalkeeper in Milos Kocic.

Some games you win. Some games you lose. Some games you lose when you should have won, and visa
versa. And some games, like today's game between us and Chivas, are games when you should hide in
an ally and lie in wait. And when the other team walks by, you knock it out with chroloform, throw
it in the trunk of your car, drive it into the mountains, and leave it where nobody will ever, ever
find it.

For all of the praise that Bob Bradley has gotten and deserved for his win in Switzerland
(breaking a 5 game European losing streak), 2007 Gold Cup champions, wins against Egypt and Spain,
and 2009 Confederation Cup runners-up, he has gotten condemned for unimaginative performances
against El Salvador, Costa Rica, and Trinidad and Tobago in World Cup Qualifying.

This list is incomplete. All of these players were signed to an official team roster, but didn't
play in a competitive game (regular season, playoffs, Open Cup, Champions League, etc).
For now, I've gone through the end of season rosters for 2004-2007. Some players may have been on
the roster for part of the season and then waived, so they'd be missing if that's the case.

D.C. United's President and CEO on last night's U.S. Open Cup final:
"Last night was a fantastic night at RFK Stadium. While we fell short of our goal of winning a 13th
trophy, we are proud of the tremendous effort our team and our fans brought to the stadium. Our
fans demonstrated once again that, when it comes to passion, loyalty and enthusiasm, they are
second to none.

For once the US Open Cup is getting it's just due for some hype going into tonight's final. It
sure didn't hurt that two of the league's best PR teams are in the final. DC United has done it's
best hyping the match against expansion side Seattle Sounders FC. Oh and there's been a fun back
and forth thing between the club's front offices.
