Full credit to Osasuna who played like they had nothing to fear against their vaunted
opposition. Pep Guardiola resting Xavi, Iniesta, and Fabregas on the bench for the Bayer Leverkusen
CL first leg sent in Thiago Alcantara, Pedro, and Sergi Roberto. The latter breaking into the first
squad, all of four games old, completed the rejiggered midfield.
Barcelona's shocking away form resulted in another loss last night, and with it any chance that
Barca has of retaining their La Liga title this season.
Barcelona have now dropped a staggering 16 points away from him in the league this season. As
incredible number. And a number that will cost Barca a chance to retain its La Liga crown.
FC Barcelona booked their place in the Copa Del Rey final with a 2-0 victory against Valencia at
Camp Nou. Goals from Cesc Fabregas and Xavi gave Barca a bit of nervous victory. Now the final will
be against Atletic Bilbao, between the two most successful teams in the Copa Del Rey history.

Barcelona kicked off 2012 the way they finished 2011: with goals.
On the back of a 4-0 FIFA Club World Cup Championship victory over Santos and a 9-0 demolition
of C.E. L'Hospitalet to wrap up a memorable 2011, Barcelona returned to action without missing a
beat, defeating Osasuna 4-0 at the Camp Nou in their first match of the new year.
Ever since Pep said this: "Because of the injury of Villa we're thinking about promoting
Soriano. Problem is he then can't go back to the B-team" in his press conference today, I've
been getting q lot of questions about Soriano and his possible promotion. I'm going to address
hopefully everything here, adapted from the transfer piece I wrote last summer.
There are loads of snippets of Arsenal transfer news about this morning, but most of them seem to
be total speculation without any quotes whatsoever, but it is my duty to pass them on to interested
Arsenal fans. The first one has Arsenal and just about every other top Premier League club
interested in signing [.

After just pipping the first leg 1-0, Pep Guardiola covered his arse by naming an incredibly
strong side in the return leg against Hospitalet at the Camp Nou last night and it payed off, with
Barcelona crushing the third-tier outfit thanks to goals from Pedro, Andres Iniesta, Xavi and
braces from three players aged just 20: Isaac Cuenca, Thiago Alcantara and substitute Cristian
Tello.
Another El Clasico is upon us Real Madrid hosts archrivals FC Barcelona at the majestic Santiago
Bernabeu for a Saturday night La Liga match (kickoff is at 10pmCET/9pmGMT/4pmEST).
This will be, remarkably, the 7th El Clasico of 2011: there were the four matches packed into 18
days last spring (two meetings in the Champions League semifinal, the Copa del Rey final, and their
2nd La Liga match of the season), plus there were two legs to the preseason Spanish Super Copa.
Titi is in London this weekend for the unveiling of his Arsenal commemorative statue. We can only
hope the sculptor wasn't obliged to replicate his shoes n'gilet combo. We'd prefer not to have to
look at that for the next 100 years. Image: PacificCoastNews.com.
In a week where the whole of Manchester was thrown out of Europe's elite competition, we
admirably restrained our 'inner mean girl' while you lot let rip on Shakira's new 'do and Yoann
Gourcuff reappeared on our radar, you may well ask what could possibly be left for us to report
on?
Barcelona warmed up nicely for Saturday's 'El Clasico' with a fine 5-0 thrashing of Levante thanks
to a double by Cesc Fabregas, Joan Cuenca, Lionel Messi and Alexis Sanchez. The win keeps La
Blaugrana second in the table on 34 points, three points behind Real Madrid but having played one
match more.
FC Barcelona closed down the lead between them and Real Madrid to six points with a comfortable
5-0 victory against fourth placed Levante. Cesc Fabregas opened the scoring, then doubled it
followed by Cuenca, Messi and Sanchez goals gave Barca a comfortable victory at Camp NOu. Now all
the focus will shift to next week's Clasico action at Bernebeu.
Young FC BARCELONA player ISAAC CUENCA is considered a bit of a "Football Freestyle" expert. There
are videos on the web that shows the Football juggling skills of the "kid" in his neighbourhood
with his mates. Couple of days back Cuenca showed his stuff at training to a few World Champions &
FC Barcelona team-mates.

FC Barcelona go into their 400th match in a UEFA competition facing the brilliant news that

With Ana and Pablo, our Cuenca guides!
CUENCA is a Spanish province often overlooked in favour of its more 'popular'

It's not that usual to wake up in the morning and read a scoreline where FC Barcelona is at the
end of a 4-1 mauling. This was definitely one of those day, hope it's the last. The funny part was
that I woke up ealry and watched Villa's goal live but couldn't hold my head still and went back to
sleeping.
FC Barcelona opened their 2011 pre-season with a rather entertaining goalless draw against
Croatian side Hajduk Split. As expected Guardiola started with two different side in each half. The
first half saw majority of Barca B players start along with the likes of Keita, Afellay and
Villa.
