SoccerLens 05 November @ 02:42 AM EST

Champions League View: Bayern Munich and Liverpool FC could get 10 points and still not qualify.

Champions League predictions for today (10/2/07)

Football is for the Madman 02 October @ 09:55 AM EST
Lyon 2, Rangers 0
I know the Scots love France, but I just can't see Lyon losing this one at home. They pretty much have to win this match and all their others at Stade Gerland to have any chance of advancing. Not sure if the Rangers will have Darcheville and I'm not sure if it matters.
Stuttgart 1, Barcelona 1
I expect the Bundesliga side to be quite stingy here. Click to continue reading...

Three reasons it's a little too early to get excited about PSV Eindhoven

Football is for the Madman 18 September @ 10:52 AM EST
So far this season, PSV Eindhoven has maintained their spot near the top of the Eredivisie table, but by the end of the year I don't expect them to finish higher than fourth and here's three reasons why:
3. They've had a favorable schedule so far
PSV has played Vitesse Arnhem and NEC at home, Twente and Heracles on the road. Twente and Vitesse Arnhem are seemingly decent sides, but PSV could only manage a scoreless draw with the former at Arke Stadion and barely squeaked by Vitesse at home, 1-0. Click to continue reading...

The Madman's preview: The Champions League Group Stage (part 4 of 4)

Football is for the Madman 31 August @ 09:14 AM EST
(Part 1, part 2, and part 3)
Group G - Internazionale, PSV Eindhoven, CSKA Moskva, & Fenerbahçe S.K.
Winner - It's hard to go against Internazionale, being that they have a squad packed full of great players, but the way they've looked recently makes this group look wide open. I think they'll be able to get it together to advance, but I'm not sure they'll be on top at the end of this stage. Click to continue reading...
