The first leg of the first qualifying round of the 2009-10 Champions League is now complete. If you
weren't able to find your favorite club on the tele over the past few days, don't be shocked
because (a) your favorite team probably wasn't playing and (b) you would have been hard pressed to
find any of the matches on television unless you happen to live in San Marino.

Ya mucho rollo se ha dicho de donde van a jugar Chivas y San Luis la siguiente
ronda de la Santander Libertadores. Me parece algo ya que empieza a llegar al
límite del fastidio. Primero sobraron los ofrecimientos para que los equipos
fueran a jugar en cancha neutral, luego algunos se negaron, luego
se dijo que Estados Unidos, y ahora sabemos que ya se reactivará la
actividad normal en México.

Guadalajara defender Hector Reynoso started spitting and blowing snot at an opponent in a Copa
Libertadores game recently.
Needless to say that wasn't thought well of by the South American Football Confederation.
"At around the 90th minute of the aforementioned game, Reynoso, following an incident
in the game, reacted by spitting at Everton player Sebastian Penco and then releasing nasal
secreations at the face of the player," said the CSF in a statement.

Judging by the eggs next to my comment count and the subsequent drop off of subscribers, I'm going
to let my NAFF series lie for little bit to bring you some down-home angst about the state of
Canadian soccer...
A brief glance at the Voyaguers, Ben Knight's blog (who's looking at this very question right now),
or pretty much anything written by soccer pundits in this country in the past fifteen to twenty
years is all you need to ascertain that there is something called the 'CSA,' and that that
'something' is inherently evil and the cause of all soccer-related suffering in this country.
