English Football League Championship side Crystal Palace Football Club have launched their Nike
2011/12 away kit. The new kit uses the now popular Nike Premium Brasil design made famous by the
Brazil Nike World Cup 2010 home jersey. Its release follows that of the Eagles' 11/12 home kit was
released in May.

League bound West Bromwich Albion.
Cross-dressing, multi-lingual marathon man Eddie Izzard has joined the ranks of the celebrity
football directors by joining Crystal Palace as an Associate Director. The 50-year-old surrealist
has been a fan of the Eagles all his life and is eager to see his beloved side get back into the
Premier League.
CRYSTAL Palace have confirmed they are out of administration.
The Football League have officially accepted the club's new owners, CPFC Ltd, a consortium led
by Steve Parish and Martin Long.
Brendan Guilfoyle, of P&A Partnership and joint administrator of the previous owners, Crystal
Palace FC (2000), said in a statement: "It is a relief to get to the end of what has been a long
and complex procedure.
This is quite astounding, watch the video below, see how the ball has not only crossed the line
but hit the back of the goal and came back out only for the inept officials to not allow it. You
will not see an incident like this again for some years! Understanably Neal Warnock, not usually
needing much to rile him, was visibly shocked, stunned and angry (in that order).
Crystal Palace Baltimore
CP Baltimore told us little if anything new in a press release last Friday. Led by Pete Medd, the
team had financial problems before the season even began and if not for the help of the NASL and US
Soccer, would not have made it through the season.
Lawsuit Dropped
While not breaking news, I thought I should clarify the situation with the United Soccer League
(USL) lawsuit against 3 teams who have stated they want to play with the North American Soccer
League (NASL).
On December 8, 2009, the USL filed a lawsuit in Hillsborough County Court in Florida claiming
breach of contract and indebtedness for three teams they claim had made either verbal or written
agreements to play for the USL.
As US Soccer's special "Professional League Task Force" lead by CEO and Secretary General Dan
Flynn, sorts through this debate of 2nd division league control, I thought it might be helpful for
everyone to go through the teams one by one as a guide. There have been many claims by
both sides as to the teams they have slated to play in 2010.
Perhaps a predictable choice for the profile this week but anyone who was able to ignore Mark
Bright's constant sledging of those called upon to replace him in the position of striker for
Crystal Palace FC on the Beeb yesterday will have had underlined to them once again how much of a
fulcrum the Harlow sired player has been for the Eagles this season.
Newcastle, unbeaten this season travel down to London to take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst
Park. Last week, Neil Warnock, Palace's manager was justifiably infuriated by the goal scored by
young Spears which was disallowed. Let's hope the refs will be equally in our favour tomorrow!
NUFC Team News: Barton won't feature for the Toon, while young Andy Carroll and
Nicky Butt are expected to take some part in the game.
Crystal Palace have confirmed that Edgar Davids has left the club, after coming
out of a two-year semi-retirement to join the Eagles on a pay-as-you-play deal back in August.
A brief statement posted on the club's official site reads:
"The club would like to thank Edgar for his time here and wish him all the best of luck for the
future.
Championship side Crystal Palace FC will face liquidation this afternoon if the
business group attempting to by the club cannot reach an agreement by 15:00 BST.
CPFC 2010 (a consortium of local London businessmen headed by Palace
supporters) have agreed terms on a deal to purchase the club outright but will not compete the
transaction until they reach a compromise with the Royal Bank of Scotland, who are
brokering the sale of the club's ground, Selhurst Park.
