OTP gazes into its crystal ball to see who might take to the pitch to face France on June 11. 1.

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish believes that club captain Steven Gerrard could continue playing
well into his late 30s if he remains fit.
The England international midfielder, 31 at the moment, signed an extension to his existing deal on
Thursday but has already said that he is looking to go beyond his current contract.

Fresh from signing a contract extension with his one and only club, Liverpool captain Steven
Gerrard has found himself on the end of some lovely praise from his manager.
Kenny Dalglish has claimed that the 32-year-old Gerrard, recetnyl returned from a long-term
injury, could play on for another seven years and may go on to be considered the greatest player
ever to wear a Liverpool shirt.
It's Manchester for top spot, but which one?
I have stared long and hard into my crystal ball over the festive period, but when I tried to
find out who will finish top of the Premier League the damned thing clouded over. Given the weather
they have in Manchester, I've taken that to mean that either United or City will win the title.
Wow, they are happy Thierry Henry's leaving on loanMere hours from now, Dick Clark will descend on Manhattan's Times Square riding a fully armed
crystal ball where he will fight an army of Mayan warriors bent on destroying the world. Or
something to that effect.
Yes, 2012 is upon us and while many fear that it is the year that marks the end of civilization,
most TFC supporters just hope that it is the year that marks the end of futility.
Why I can't choose between Silva and RVP for my Best Player of 2011
Before wishing everyone a Happy New Year, there's just time for me to fish the old crystal ball
out of the attic and see what 2012 holds in store. And when Gypsy King Sav stares into the goldfish
bowl, he sees a treble Manchester City to win the Premier League, FA Cup and Carling Cup.
In-demand Bolton defender Gary Cahill has refused to get drawn into the speculation about his
future but has indicated that Chelsea are the front-runners to sign him due to how to the
connection he has with captain John Terry.
Cahill has partnered Terry on multiple occasions in the heart of England's defense and the
result has usually been a clean sheet.
It's a special MLS Cup edition of the Friday Five today, where we peer into the crystal ball to
explore whether Brad Davis' absence has unofficially put the kabash on Houston's chances, whether
Donovan has anything left to prove and if Jacob has the stones to pick against LA. Let's dive in,
shall we?
Kenny Dalglish is confident that Liverpool icons Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher can lead the
team for many more years to come.
Both players' contracts are set to expire in June 2013, but the Reds boss says the 31-year-old
skipper, and 33-year-old vice-captain can carry on well beyond that.
"I haven't a crystal ball, I don't know how long he [Gerrard] has left, how long it will be," said
Dalglish.
Steven Gerrard can remain at Liverpool past 2013, says Kenny Dalglish
• Dalglish says Gerrard's existing contract need not be his last • Midfielder set to make
first start in seven months on Saturday Kenny Dalglish has told Steven Gerrard he can remain a
Liverpool player beyond his existing contract to 2013 as the captain's recovery from groin surgery
faces its next test, against Manchester United.
Whether you feel it's no co-incidence that the return of Ledley King has heralded a run of three
straight wins for Spurs, it's been encouraging to see our club captain return at the heart of the
Spurs' defence.
After a miserable injury ridden campaign in 2010-11, Ledley is looking to play as much as
possible this time around and is just starting to eye up a new contract when his current deal
expires at the end of the season,
"This is my biggest season at Spurs yet.

Déj vu! Real Madrid has sought yet another appointment with Olympique Lyonnais in the
Champions League Group Stages. Much would needed to be done to get through the Group of Near-Death
D with possibly second position at best, all the while looking for slipups by Madrid against either
Ajax or Dinamo Zagreb.
Looking at the positive side of Forest at the minute is a bit like looking into a Crystal Ball.
There is the potential for some good signings with Giles Barnes, Wayne Routledge, Nicky Maynard,
Nicky Shorey and Bolo Zendon all coming out of the rumour mill [...]
By all accounts Phil Jones is expected to sign for Manchester United after snubbing Arsenal. This
despite having a cup of tea and a personal chat with Arsene Wenger.
Well, sometimes that's the way the cookie crumbles I suppose!
Don't get me wrong, its gutting that one of our targets has opted to move elsewhere but at least it
shows that Wenger is actually acting on signing players.
If we suspend reality and assume the opinion that England playing Switzerland at Wembley this
afternoon, just a few days after arguably their heaviest ever defeat in Zurich, was not mere
serendipity at play, then somebody at UEFA is either unusually prescient or is the owner of the
world's only fully functioning crystal ball, as well as being the holder of a very keen sense of
humour.
By the end of this week, we will know what if any sanction has been levelled against Queens Park
Rangers with regard to the Alejandro Faurlin affair. The club itself (and by this we mean the
management and/or the owners) will get whatever it deserves, should it be found to be guilty. This,
however, is not the place to discuss what sanctions may or may not be levelled against the club
just yet.
Dear Mr Hernandez,
Can I call you Xavi? Or, as Del Boy from Only Fools and Horses or Gypsies would say, can I call you
Chavvy?
Let me begin by saying that I think you are a marvellous footballer. I love to watch players like
yourself play the game. At times its like watching my mate Phil play Fifa 2003 on Playstation 2 and
he was well good at that game.
Manchester Utd 2-1 Manchester City: Observations and Analysis
"I think it's the best goal I've ever scored, I saw it coming over and I thought, why not? I
was just delighted to see it go in the net and get the three points. Nine times out of 10 they go
into the stand.
