Tetraplo dokari by martelis Off The Post? Yep, and the rest. This footage comes from the Greek lower leagues. An Egeas Plomariou player thought he was about to find the net against Papanikolis. His shot beat the keeper but hit the post. Then the crossbar. Then the other post. Then the first post again.
Southampton 0-2 Wigan Athletic Premier League 25 August 2012
Playing in their first home game in the top tier in seven seasons, the Saints were looking to
give their fans something to celebrate. However, an impressive display by visitors Wigan spoiled
the party and gave Roberto Martinez's side a deserved victory.
szólj hozzá: Arsenal vs Sunderland 0:0 HIGHLIGHTS
If you wanted to know where the goals were going to come for Arsenal in the post RVP world, then
this was not the match to provide those answers. Sunderland packed it in the second half and the
best chance fell to Oliver Giroud with all the dimensions in the world at his disposal after Santi
Cazorla's brilliant pass found him but he shanked the ball.
Canada completely outplayed by France in the second half managed to score an extra time goal by
Diane Matheson following a scramble for the ball in front of the box. Before that heartbreak,
France had peppered the Canadian goal with a plethora of shots, one that unluckily hit the upright,
with the rest sailing over the crossbar.
A footballer is entitled to feel a little bit unlucky if they watch a free-kick hit the bar and rebound to safety. They can feel particularly aggrieved if their free-kick hits the bar twice. That's what happened to United Arab Emirates player Khamis Ismaeel during his side's match against Kuwait. His effort crashed against the [.
Ahead of the USWNT's match against Costa Rica, it was announced that Pia Sundhage, coach for the US
women since 2007, will be returning to her native Sweden to pursue opportunities there. Sundhage,
whose 88-6-10 record over five years included two Olympic gold medals and second place in a World
Cup, leaves big shoes to fill for her successor.
Andy Carroll was the elephant in the room. The Liverpool striker on loan in the first big moment
of the match knocked the ball down straight into the path of Ricardo Vaz Te who found Kevin Nolan
steaming down the left to fire a snap shot past Mark Schwarzer.
Moussa Dembele's undoubted moment of genius was the only redeeming feature in an otherwise
rather insipid, dull, and lethargic Spurs side that was hard pressed keeping away an industrious
and well organized Norwich side.
The former Fulham midfielder scored a goal on debut showing his class in the 68th minute as he
used some nifty footwork and a cool finish to frustrate an enterprising Norwich side who had plenty
of chances of their own.
Santos defeated Toronto FC at BMO Field and Alajuelense won on the road at Real Esteli in the
CONCACAF Champions League on August 28, 2012.
Toronto FC 1-3 Santos
It was a devastating loss for TFC as their hopes of advancing to the next round likely ended.
Santos, the Group 1 favorites, are unbeaten and have six points through two matches.
RICHMOND, VA – (Saturday, August 25, 2012) – The Richmond Kickers were knocked out of the
USLPRO playoffs Saturday night in a thrilling five-goal encounter with the visiting Wilmington
Hammerheads.
Richmond dominated the early stages of the match, with Matthew Delicâte hitting the crossbar with
his headed effort in the third minute.
Bayern Munich won on the road, Monchengladbach narrowly won at home, and Wolfsburg edged
Stuttgart in the German Bundesliga on August 25, 2012. Other results on Saturday were Eintracht
Frankfurt winning at Bayer Leverkusen, Fortuna Dusseldorf winning at Augsburg, and Freiburg were
held to a draw by Mainz.
FC Dallas is starting to think about a playoff push, something that would have been unthinkable
a month ago, before a dynamic Colombian duo stepped forward to revive a struggling Dallas
offense.
The Colombian connection of David Ferreira and Fabian Castillo have been the leading drivers of
an FC Dallas resurgence, and they were at it again on Wednesday night in Vancouver, manufacturing
both goals as FC Dallas posted an impressive 2-0 victory against the Vancouver Whitecaps in
Vancouver.
The winners were predictable long before the first match – arguably since the last kick of the
2011 World Cup Final penalty shoot-out. The United States, fuelled by revenge for a defeat in that
match they didn't really deserve, went ahead early in an appropriately entertaining Olympic final
and, despite Japan's best performance of the Games, stayed there.
Sporting Kansas City defeated the Seattle Sounders 1-1 (3-2 on penalty kicks) to win the 2012 US
Open Cup.
In the first half, it was Sporting who had most of the chances and possession but struggled to
turn convert that into a first half lead. The closest was a shot near the edge of the box by Kei
Kamara that took a deflection and bounced off the crossbar.
FALL RIVER, Mass. Jimmy Hernandez and Armando Gomes each scored to steer East Providence to a
2-0 win over Lindo's ST in the first leg of LUSA Cup competition on Sunday at Billy Gonsalves
Field.
Hernandez gave E.P. the early lead with an 8th minute strike while Gomes added an insurance
goal in the 65th minute to cap the scoring.
Three goals in 10 minutes saw Spartak Moscow beat Fenerbahce 2-1 at home in a first-leg playoff
match, with striker Emmanuel Emenike on target against his former club. Emenike,
who joined Spartak last year after just two months at Fenerbahce, scored on 59 minutes Tuesday,
hammering the ball into the net after pouncing on a low left-wing cross from Dmitry Kombarov.
We all know how bad the performance was last Friday night. We all know that Chelsea were well below
par on the night and they have all openly admitted to the same. I wanted to have a proper look at
game to see where things went wrong and I have to say that Atletico exposed Chelsea's defensive
weakness time and time again and they were in fact that good!
Hello everyone! Welcome to BFZ's first ever live text. Honestly, we have no idea how this will
turn out but hey, we're here to try! Glad you're here to follow all the action from tonight's
game.
This page will auto-update whenever we get around to typing something that's worthy of a live
text.
Although it might have been Labor Day Weekend around America, MLS teams were putting in plenty of
hard work to secure Playoff Spots heading into the post season. Let's take a look back and enjoy
the action across the league as the post season contenders and post season pretenders are becoming
clearer each game.
The Philadelphia Union entered this game having not picked up a win in five games. The New
England Revolution entered this game having not picked up a win in nine games. It felt like
something had to give tonight in Foxboro. Only it didn't, and both teams' winless streak
continued.
In the first half, the Philadelphia Union played a strong possession game, and while they succeeded
in limiting New England Revolution to chances, the Union did little to generate chances
themselves.
The New England Revolution and the Philadelphia Union battled to a 0-0 draw on Saturday night in
front of 11,841 fans at Gillette Stadium. The draw extended the Revolution winless streak to 10
games, the longest in the club's 17-year history.
New England was dealt some bad news before kick off when they announced that top goalscorer Saer
Sene suffered a torn left anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in Wednesday's match against
Chivas USA and will miss the remainder of the 2012 season.
The Revs midfielders desire to dribble over playing the ball quickly has hurt the team lately.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. It's the same story, just different night for the New England Revolution. The
Montreal Impact came into Foxborough and took advantage of the one mistake New England made, while
the Revolution didn't have an answer for Montreal's defensive shape.
Last night's loss made it six games in a row without a win, and four defeats running. The New
England Revolution are having some serious trouble right now, and honestly should have put away a
Montreal Impact side that's not particularly bad, but not as good as the Revs should be, either.
Here are the postgame quotes, with a little extra that didn't show up on the Revolution
website.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – For the third straight home game, the Revolution fell 1-0, this time at
the hands of the Montreal Impact Sunday night in front of 12,857.
Arsenal won at Anfield, Man Utd came from behind at Southampton, and Newcastle were held by
Villa in the English Premier League on September 2, 2012.
Liverpool 0-2 Arsenal
Arsenal had goals from new signings Lukas Podolski and Santi Cazorla to get their first win of
the season. Podolski's goal was scored when the Gunners caught Liverpool on a quick
counterattack.
Sunday night saw the Philadelphia Union play to a 1-1 draw with D.C. United at RFK Stadium.
United supporters witnessed a match filled with questionable calls, penalty kick attempts, and a
collection of yellow and red cards awarded.
Immediately following the match, D.C. United head coach Ben Olsen voiced is disappointment in
the officiating, namely head referee Mark Geiger.
The Austrian Bundesliga is already underway and during Red Bull Salzburg's match against Rapid
Vienna on Sunday, there was a penalty kick that might not be top in any league this season. In the
79th minute, Rapid Vienna up 2-0, Salzburg were awarded a penalty and Rapid's Stefan Kulovits was
shown a yellow card for a foul in the box.
The U.S. Women's National Team exacted revenge and defeated Japan 2-1 in the gold medal match of
the 2012 London Olympic Games on Thursday at Wembley Stadium. The victory, which marks the U.S.'
fourth gold medal in women's soccer, comes 389 days after the U.S.' penalty kick loss to the
Japanese in last year's World Cup Final.
We are six weeks into the Apertura 2012 in Liga MX, and we're finally starting to see a few
teams separate themselves in the league table. While some have risen, others have fallen and now
we're starting to see the normal carousel of managers Mexican fans are accustomed too. Three
managers are out of work and there are a few more that are walking thin lines.
With the MLS playoff race heating up, both the Philadelphia Union and Real Salt Lake could have
used three points from their match on Friday night. But in a game where chances were few and far
between, each team was forced to settle for a bore draw, although it was the Union who came away
more disappointed.
Virginia Men's Soccer Falls 2-1 in Overtime to Georgetown Carroll scores goal for
Cavaliers
GERMANTOWN, Md. – The Virginia men's soccer team opened its regular-season schedule with a tough
2-1 overtime loss to Georgetown Friday evening in the ACC/BIG EAST Challenge at the Maryland
SoccerPlex in Germantown, Md.
Maya Hayes does her best Sydney Leroux after scoring against Ghana
There's is still much soccer to be played in the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, but the USA got
off to a great start on searing Monday afternoon at the Hiroshima Big Arch Stadium, defeating Ghana
4-0 with three goals from forward Maya Hayes and an own goal that was earned when Morgan Brian
smashed a header off the crossbar off a corner kick from Vanessa DiBernardo.
Sporting KC defeated DC United in 2-1 in Major League Soccer (MLS) on August 11, 2012. It's the
first home win for Sporting in their last home matches.
The match started out with Sporting dominating play and taking the lead in the 13th minute. Teal
Bunbury would head in a Graham Zusi corner kick to make it 1-0.
A hot and muggy Kansas City afternoon gave way to a thunderstorm that delayed the started of
this much anticipated match for over 30 minutes. Lightning within 2 miles of LIVESTRONG Sporting
Park means a 30 minute delay from that strike.
Sporting KC had control of the match early in the first half, in the second minute Teal Bunbury
received a square ball near the top of the box, had he allowed the ball to continue rolling Kei
Kamara was unmarked on Sporting's left wing.
Seattle Sounders FC managed to pull even with the San Jose Earthquakes in the 92nd minute when
Fredy Montero poached a goal on a long throw-in. Unfortunately for the Seattle side that had
weathered so much pressure with a reduced lineup the game lasted just over a minute when Steven
Lenhart worked his late game set-play magic and gave the 'Quakes the 2-1 winner.
Obviously, that was not the way the Seattle Sounders thought this run of U.S. Open Cup success
was going to end. They didn't think it, probably, because it's the kind of nightmare ending you
never want to imagine. A hard-fought game comes down to a penalty shootout, which is then at least
partially decided by a questionable referee decision.
Mesut Ozil could have got Real Madrid all three points had he not hit the crossbar with a wide
open goal at his mercy last night, instead he saw Getafe coming from a goal down to beat the
champions 2-1 leaving them with just a point on the board out of a possible six on offer.
An own-goal from Andy Webster was all that separated the two sides as Liverpool scraped a narrow
victory over Hearts in the first leg of their Europa League play-off at Tynecastle.
The Edinburgh side impressed for much of the tie before suffering a late blow against their
Barclays Premier League visitors, who made the trip across the border without a number of star
players.
"If it be now, 'tis not to come; if it be not to come, it will be now; if it be not now, yet it
will come: the readiness is all." – Hamlet, Vii It was an article of faith. There's really no
better term for it. One day it would happen. Not might, not could, would. It had been so
close before; in 1997 when Dooley hit the crossbar, in 2009 when an early.
The Dynamo fell 2-0 at Red Bull Arena to the New York Red Bulls, ending Houston's five match
winning streak and dropping them back to second place in the East for the moment. Goals from Markus
Holgersson and Jan Gunnar Solli were the difference, that and the Dynamo's inability to convert
their chances.
