Perhaps the biggest debate of the 2009-2010 Premier League season has been stoppage time.
Premiership fans witnessed Michael Owen propel Manchester United to a derby day victory over
cross-town rivals City in stoppage time, and last weekend we saw Stoke battle on through five
minutes of stoppage time to hold on to a slender 1-0 lead over hosts Tottenham.

All of this week's headlines have focused on one man: Emmanuel Adebayor. The striker from Togo
was at it once again yesterday as he accepted his charges from the FA. Respectable? Yes. Does it
make up for what he did? No. But now City fans are caught in the middle - Adebayor's acceptance has
ruled him out of the Manchester derby at a time when his squad is lacking firepower up front.

It was the Argentine league sponsored by AARP. The stars of the weekend happened to be three of the
elder statesmen of the league.
Ariel Ortega played a putrid 70-plus minutes until he assisted on the equalizer and scored the
game-winner on a brilliant chip shot to put a moribund River Plate over Chacarita Juniors at the
Monumental with what might be the goal of the week.

Manchester City have sought to rub salt in to the wounds of United fans bitter at Carlos Tevez's
defection from red to blue by producing a huge city centre poster enforcing their belief that City
are the only true Manchester club. After protracted negotiations, Tevez signed a five-year contract
with Manchester United's cross-town rivals, Manchester City, [.

Carlos Tevez has signed with cross town rivals Man City...good for him, bad loss for the Red
Devils, trust me! Now it has been reported that they are after Arsenal striker Emmanuel
Adebayor...WHY?Don't they know that playing with 10 forwards and a keeper is just not going to
work? They now have on their squad, officially:Robinho, Bojinov, Santa Cruz, Tevez, Caicedo, Evans,
Benjani, and Bellamy.

Carlos Tevez is already accustomed to wearing light blue while on national team duty with
Argentina. It appears he is ready to wear the color full-time as he is on the verge of signing with
Manchester City.

Short but sweet. The match and this write up.
The venerable Grimsby Derby always makes me scratch my chin and wonder what Thistle team will show
up. They can run the ball, they can score, they can humble and humiliate at times and they can be
downright dirty when they're in the mood. We've clashed heads for years with these boys and despite
our friendships off the pitch, on it is a different matter entirely.

Is this the new Man United away jersey for the 2009-2010 season? It sure looks like it.
The leaked picture features a gray shirt with a blue V (or chevron, as the Brits like to say).
Designed and manufactured by Nike, it features a similar design to Man United's new home kit.
The shirt colours are definitely a diversion from what United has done in the past, but if the
colours represented in the picture above are true, I wonder what the Red Devils will think about
wearing the sky blue colour of their cross-town brethren?

So Tevez is set to finally leave Manchester United. Evidently ManU brought some of the CRon monies
to him, but he and (more likely or) his agent said, 'no thank you'.
This Joorabchian is some piece of work, isn't he? Not content with the chance to say no to Utd,
he's taken the opportunity to rub salt in their wounds.

These have been a disappointing few years to forget for the red half of the San Siro, not only
have AC Milan watched cross town rivals Internazionale manage to win the Serie A title back to back

The first of the two-legged Final takes place tonight at Pumas' home stadium, Estadio
Universitario, Estadio Olimpico, Estadio Mexico68, CU. It has many names. It may not have the
historical footie cache as the Azteca has(if two dazzling world cup finals aren't enough, may I
present Italy's 4-3 semi final classic over W Germany in 1970), but it has its share of
unforgettable moments, and not all of them have to do with futbol.

Today, Lyon are up in Evian to play an amicable match against one of our cross-town rivals,
Grenoble. Judging by the group list and current state of crisis at OL, Puel is taking nothing
lightly: not a single CFA player was called-up, and every first-team player except Santos-
suspended for ten days, and probably never to set foot on OL premeses again- has made the trip.
