YouTube videos (and blog posts, including some of mine) often come with hyperbolic titles. So when
I see anything titled "Worst _____ Ever!", I immediately reach for my skeptical spectacles.
However, the above YouTube video titled "Worst football miss ever!" made me put them down again.

Hajduk Split have had a terrible start to the season in Croatia, especially by their elite
standards, sitting 14 points behind leaders Dinamo Zagreb after 12 games up until this weekend. Fan
anger though with no reports of any incidents or threats prompted police to step-up security during
training and at matches this week.

Wow, waking up just to see all those journalists crying on how Bilic (or Markovic rather) picks
his friendlies ain't the best way to start the morning. But seriously though, the journalism in
Croatia is rubbish. Like fast food. It's all around, lacks the attention & nutrition of a real
meal, and in the end will leave you plunging the nearest available restroom.

Liverpool's win over Man Utd got all the Premier League attention this weekend, so Ivan Klasnić

it deserved to. You probably remember Klasnić as the Croatian striker who suffered kidney failure

the Cibalia goal with the ball right at his feet, but his miscue astonished all onlookers.
Now, in all of its glory, you get to see the miss of the season.

1. Even great defenders can forget how to defend Rio Ferdinand picked up from his shocker in the

Green became England's first dismissal of the Capello era. However, the game presented a perfect

The claim by Croatia that we threw the game against Ukraine because we would prefer them to qualify
just doesn't stack up. It might explain why Ferdinand appeared to be asleep at the crucial moment,
and why the referee initially went to send him off , but Capello keeping Heskey on and Green
completing the move by bringing down Milevski is a conspiracy theory too far.

I've deliberately avoided all the post World Cup qualification hooplah. Mostly because the usual
questions: "Can we win it this time?" etc, make me want to stab myself in the leg with a pencil.
And anyone who uses the phrase "Can England win it? Yes. Will they win it? No." should be reminded
that
a) It's not clever or original if a thousand other people have already said it first, and
b) You deserve to be stabbed in the leg with a pencil.

Arsenal striker Eduardo, who has recently been a frequent

accusation that marred his reputation of a sincere and hardworking striker. The Croatia
international, who was banned for an attempt to deceive the officials by going down
without any contact during Arsenal's Champions League clash against
Celtic last month, was exempted from blame on the grounds of a lack of clear
evidence.
