Last season United beat Everton 1-0 thanks to a penalty scored by Cristiano Ronaldo. This
season, United beat Everton 3-0 thanks to goals from Darren Fletcher, Michael Carrick and Antonio
Valenca.
I'm not suggesting that United are better this season than they were last just because we beat a
weaker Everton side by a larger scoreline, rather reinforcing the point I made when Ronaldo was
sold.

Poderia falar de outros jogadores cuja classe e dedicação são comprovadas, Ricardo Carvalho,
Deco, Raul Meireles, Paulo Ferreira, Eduardo, Duda, Cristiano Ronaldo, Nani, Simão, Bosingwa,
Danny, Tiago, Pedro Mendes, entre outros, mas querendo eleger aqueles que num determinado momento
foram decisivos para a nossa qualificação, elegeria, sem dúvidas, Pepe, Bruno Alves e Liedson.

United welcome Everton to Old Trafford in the late kick off on Saturday in what, on paper,
should be a fairly easy three points for Sir Alex Ferguson's side.
I mean no disrespect to Everton by this and on their day they're capable of beating anyone in
the league but the fact of the matter is their injury list is huge and so many key players are
missing.

Spain have just launched their home jersey for the 2010 World Cup and the design has a 1980s
feel about it. Adidas have once again manufactured this World Cup kit, which is the usual red with
a hint of blue on the sleeve and neck areas, and yellow Adidas stripes up the arms and shoulders.
The Adidas logo is featured on the top centre part of the shirt and the Spanish badge is on the
left of the shirt.

At 2:45 today the Portuguese National Team (minus Cristiano Ronaldo) will square off against the
Bosnians to defend their 1 goal aggregate advantage over the boys from the shores of the Adriatic.Â
This is an interesting match because everyone on earth expects Portugal to be in the World Cup,
but I think the Bosnians have other ideas.

The following list of elite midfield players in the world will exclude the likes of Lionel
Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka since they sometimes play as forwards or as support strikers
depending on the strategy deployed by their team. Kaka has previously played as a second striker
during his spell with Milan while both Messi and Ronaldo have played in various attacking positions
for their club (mostly on the wing though).

Cristiano Ronaldo is recovering from an ankle injury he suffered back in October in a match with
his national team side Portugal. The injury will keep him out of Portugal's World Cup play-off
matches against Bosnia-Herzegovina.
It was earlier reported that Ronald would not be ready in time for the match against FC
Barcelona on November 29 but when talking to reporters today in Madrid he was optimistic.

On Saturday 14th November 2009, Portugal play Bosnia-Herzegovina in the first leg of their World
Cup playoff. This is a really tough one to predict for me, as Portugal have really struggled in the
group stage and Bosnia appear to have a strong side. Sports retailers will certainly be hoping for
a Portuguese victory, as they are likely to be one of the best selling World Cup Jerseys likely to
be among the best selling kits next summer.

This seems almost impossibly unimportant following the sad news of Robert Enke's passing, but
Cristiano Ronaldo will now definitely miss both legs of Portugal's World Cup 2010 playoff vs
Bosnia-Herzegovina (November 14th and 18th). The story had been steadily building into the club vs
country smackdown to end all club vs country smackdowns, with Real Madrid insisting their player
was injured and unavailable (and doubly so since said ankle injury is a direct result of C-Ron
playing for Portugal last month when not fully fit) and Portugal maintaining it was there right to
call up whoever they want.

certainly not be going to the World Cup after his country failed to qualify from the same group
which saw eventual winners Denmark earn automatic qualification and runners-up Portugal reach the
