If Tyler Polak finds himself in the starting line-up on opening day at San Jose, the 19-year-old
should hardly be caught wide-eyed. The New England Revolution's second round draft pick has already
faced Major League Soccer competition in a meaningful match and trained with several professional
clubs.

Seeking to address its defensive shortcomings, the Revolution turned its attention to the rear
by selecting Tyler Polak with the 22nd overall pick in the SuperDraft.
With the 15th pick in the MLS SuperDraft Seattle Sounders FC went with Creighton University's
Andrew Duran. Duran a versatile defender played at the Combine as a rightback, centerback and right
midfield. The senior player was rated as a top 10 defender by Maureci.
Duran is one of three Creighton players at the MLS Combine.

CHICAGO -- Eclipse Select Soccer Club defender and Hinsdale South High School junior Jessica
Mutters announced her commitment to play for Creighton University's women's soccer program starting
in 2013.
The Darien, Ill., native's older sister Danielle played for Missouri Valley Conference rival
Illinois State, and her parents also attended ISU.
Perhaps only in the nonrevenue-producing universe of collegiate men's soccer would Creighton
University, a small Jesuit college in Nebraska, be considered a more desirable destination than the
University of North Carolina.
But that is essentially what the highly regarded Elmar Bolowich said when he stunned the soccer
community last February with his decision to leave Chapel Hill after 22 years as coach and with the
Tar Heels building toward a potential second N.
Woodbury natives Eric Miller and Brent Kallman hope to push Missouri Valley Conference Champion
Creighton University one step past their #2 national ranking and #2 seed as the D1 Men's NCAA
Tournament opens this weekend. The Blue Jays are 18-2-0 on the season turning in an astounding 16
clean sheets in 20 matches, national-best .
Youth soccer in Southern California continues to evolve, lead, pioneer, and at least in my
opinion, host the largest density of talent in the country. It's like a mecca for the youth
game.
Now we too hope to contribute to this landscape on a macro scale and push the envelope even
further!

After spending nearly a quarter of a century with the University of North Carolina, Elmar
Bolowich longed for a new challenge.
He found that challenge this past spring in the form of Creighton University, a solid soccer
program that was looking to make the jump to proverbial powerhouse after a 13-5-2 season that ended
with a heart-breaking penalty kick loss to SMU in the second round of the 2010 NCAA Tournament.

The Atlanta Silverbacks just can't catch a break.
A 90th-minute penalty kick prevented Atlanta from earning its first point of the season and
instead handed the Ft. Lauderdale Strikers their first win of 2011. It was the second time in their
first three games that the Silverbacks conceded a winner in the 90th minute.

Week 3 in the NASL has already seen one surprising upstart stumble against a league favorite,
and fans now look forward to weekend matchups featuring teams looking to get back on track.
On Wednesday, the Carolina Railhawks handed a surprising FC Edmonton team its first loss.
Eric Miller
Eric Miller of Woodbury, Minnesota received his first call up to the U-18 National Team several
weeks ago. The 17-year-old, who was voted Mr. Soccer for Boys Class AA, is already a month into
classes at Creighton University in Nebraska. Miller had verbally committed to the college over a
year ago and officially signed his letter of intent earlier this month.
