In appreciation of the cat who made it onto the pitch at Anfield this evening I felt that it was
about time I drew up another "Best XI". This time it's for players with "cat" in their name.

When Manchester United and Blackpool met at Bloomfield Road almost four months ago, it proved to
be one of the matches of the season.
Thanks to goals by former United prospect Craig Cathcart and DJ Campbell, United found
themselves down 2-0 at halftime, and the deficit remained the same deep into the second half.
Congratulations to Jack Wilshere and Gareth Bale for being voted PFA Young Player and Player of The
Year respectively. Funnily, there is no Liverpool representative in the PFA Team of The Year
although I would have put Reina (probably on sentiment) above Edwin Van der Sar.
Here's my best eleven of Premier League young players.

A round-up of all the results and scorers in the English
Premier League, matchday thirty-three.The Premier League title race might be all but over but the relegation battle certainly is not. An
error-strewn
Blackpool performance has left Ian Holloway's side in the relegation zone, with
Wigan leaping above The Tangerines after a comprehensive 3-1 victory.

Tottenham missed the chance to end the evening third in the Premier League pile after losing 3-1
to Blackpool at Bloomfield Road, thanks to goals from Charlie Adam, Dudley Junior Campbell and
Brett Ormerod with Roman Pavlyuchenko profiting from a heavy deflection to grab a 93rd minute
consolation.
BLACKPOOL, England Blackpool dealt a blow to Tottenham's hopes of securing Champions League
qualification on Tuesday, scoring their first win in seven matches with a 3-1 victory at Bloomfield
Road. First half goals from Charlie Adam and DJ Campbell and a late Brett Ormerod strike secured
three precious points for Ian Holloway's side, who [.
Fresh off a huge goal against Manchester United, Blackpool defender Craig Cathcart has revealed
that he is certain that his former club will go on to win this season's Premier League.
Cathcart's goal made it a difficult night for the traveling United squad, but a second half
revival sparked by Ryan Giggs was capped off by a Dimitar Berbatov brace and game winning goal.
Manchester United's seaside jaunt to face an attacking-styled Blackpool promised to be an open
affair, but United manager Alex Ferguson wasn't in on the plot. Instead he erred with a
pusillanimous 4-5-1 to open the game, a questionable setup with questionable selections.
Rooney was on the left, where he often is over the years when the season's final third, and
United's forays into Europe, become the priority.
Given the amount of late drama that has occurred for and against Manchester United away from
home this season, should anyone have expected any less than what transpired last night at
Bloomfield Road?
Over the first 45 minutes, not only did Blackpool stand tall to United's advances, but thanks to
two goals, one of which came from former United prospect Craig Cathcart, United found themselves
down 2-0 at the break and in serious danger of losing a Premier League match for the first time
this season.
Blackpool 2 – Manchester United 3 (Premier League, Enero 25, 2011)
Craig Cathcart scored first for Blackpool and they went on to play a brilliant first half -
totally dominating it.The second goal came in the 43rd minute - DJ Campbell headed in an Adam
corner.
However the fat lady hadn't sung yet and Man Utd were back into the game latish in the second half
when Berbatov and Javier Hernandez scored within two minutes of each other.
Blackpool were brilliant in the first half. Charlie Adam who Ian Holloway is hanging onto for
dear life even as Liverpool furiously shake their hips at him was unstoppable. A pair of corner
kicks and Craig Cathcart and DJ Campbell made fools of the Utd defense to put Blackpool up two.
They showed no signs of stopping while running Man Utd ragged.
On a rainy day on the western shore of England, Blackpool put a scare into the Red Devils of
Manchester in an entertaining match. In the end, United prevailed as the Tangerines were unable to
finish off the League leaders, 2-3.
FORMATIONS: Both teams fielded 4-3-3 formations.
Manchester United, unbeaten in the league this season, mounted an impressive second-half
comeback to beat Blackpool 3-2 and go five points clear of Arsenal at the top of the Premier
League.
Blackpool were so impressive in the first half and led 2-0 at half-time ads they scored off two
Charlie Adam corners.

BLACKPOOL, England Manchester United moved five points clear at the top of the Premier League after
staging a stunning late fightback to win 3-2 at Blackpool on Wednesday. Sir Alex Ferguson's side
had gone 27 league matches without losing, a run stretching back to their 2-1 defeat against
Chelsea in April last season.
Blackpool vs Manchester United Bloomfield Road, Blackpool- January 25, 2011 Final score:- Blackpool
2-3 Manchester United ( Cathcart,Campbell/ Berbatov*2, Hernandez) A brilliant second half comeback
from Manchester United allows the Red Devils to beat Blackpool 3-2 at Bloomfield Road after
trailing 2-0 at the lemon break.
Arsenal and Chelsea were both interested in signing Craig Cathcart but instead he chose to join
the ranks at Manchester United. He made his way up through the ranks and was named captain.
However, after not progressing as much as the club hoped, he was allowed to leave for Blackpool
at a bargain price at the start of this season.
As the wintry January chill sets in, the transfer window is also upon us. And with clubs needing
to dig deeper to find hidden gems with big clubs largely inactive, Midlands rivals Aston Villa and
Birmingham City are reportedly engaged in hot pursuit of Blackpool trickster Charlie Adam.
