RSL and Chicago are going to square off on Saturday in a match where the Fire of Chicago have
the unenviable task of playing the one team in the entire that no one wants a piece of anymore.Â
If you asked me this is the perfect storm for the boys from Salt Lake and the worst storm for the
Windy City squad.

Back on the old UEFA coaching site. Watching Roy talk about 3-5-2 and the limitations of three
centre-backs, he starts talking about why three centre backs sometimes don't want to leave the
middle of the field.   He notes that these players are good headers of the ball, good tacklers,
etc, but they are often reluctant to get out on the flanks where they have to face.

Not a literal reference to the Honduran coup which ousted Manuel Zelaya but the decision not to
broadcast the match by the Honduran soccer federation.
From the US soccer website:
" In regards to the U.S. Men's National Team's match against Honduras on October 10, the rights
are owned by the Honduras federation, which chose to sell the U.

After a poor start to the season, we can breathe easy again. Two wins on the trot has put
Melbourne a point from first place, though the A-League is so tight this season that we're still
only in sixth place. But it's good to see the team hit some form at last.
With a third of the season almost done, I thought I'd pop in to share my thoughts on how the
mighty Victory are faring this year.

Poor Luis Fabulouso! The Brazilian striker is depressed that the Milan
move never materialized. He's also pessimistic about Sevilla's chances against Barca and Real in
Spain.
"I expected the deal to go through, but it was a sad ending. Milan's leaders came to my
manager's house, called me and spoke to me about an 'easy life' and that it would be all
right.

Would be one hell of a signing.
WEST HAM boss Gianfranco Zola is close to agreeing a loan deal for Eidur Gudjohnsen.

Liverpool have today pulled off a surprise transfer coup, and swooped for Greek international
Sotiris Kyrgiakos from AEK Athens, as manager Rafa Benitez looks to reinforce his rearguard,
weakened by injury in recent days.
Kyrgiakos has spent only a year back in Greece, after a career which has seen him play in Germany
for Eintracht Frankfurt and in Scotland with Rangers.

The Manchester City Experiment
In an ideal world (read: my ideal world) Manchester City will finish
in the exact same spot as last season. I'd love to see the cash they shelled out for players this
summer come to naught in the table.

Phil Brown confirms that striker Alvaro Negredo has been a Hull City transfer target. The club
has been negotiating with Real for about six weeks and a deal is likely to be concluded soon.
Real's insistence that a buyback clause be inserted into the contract has slowed down the
process.
The Spanish giant will get £12 million for his transfer which will be a rare event since most
of the focus this season has been of their profligate spending.

A Honduran club's 6-0 rout of Costa Rican opponents last week is giving Honduras added belief for
their World Cup qualifier at home to their neighbours in San Pedro Sula on Wednesday.
The Costa Rica team arrived amid tight security following the coup in June that ousted Honduran
President Manuel Zelaya but coach Rodrigo Kenton said they found the atmosphere calm and felt at
home in "a brother country".

Wigan are closing on a double signing that gives clear indication they may be losing Lee
Cattermole.
Manager Roberto Martinez moved to agree a £3.5million deal for highly-rated Rayo Vallecano
midfielder Mohamed Diame and his teammate centre half Antonio Amaya.
It follows Wigan also striking an agreement with Chelsea to loan Scott Sinclair for the season but
shows concern that prized asset Cattermole could leave before the window closes.

Well... we don't have anything to say about Pepe, except for his bag. Where did
he get it from and more importantly, has he (already) been picking up fashion tips from

Interestingly, on the football side, Madrid's latest "coup" Alvaro Arbeloa has
surpassed Pepe and Sergio Ramos to officially become the club's "now the highest
rated defender at the Bernabeu with an overall FTBL rating of 108.
