South Florida (5-5-3) lost a close match to Providence College (7-5-2) in a Big East Conference game at home on Friday night. A thirty-six minute goal by the Friars and the Bulls inability to convert any of its ten shots on the night led to their five match unbeaten streak coming to an end.

Just when you thought Oguchi Onyewu was the only American plying his trade in Serie A, now comes word that an American is ready to buy newly-promoted Serie A club Bari.

Texas-based and Connecticut-born business man Tim Barton revealed his plans to not only buy Bari, but also to bring in some American players to help boost the prospects of the club that handed Inter Milan an season-opening draw last weekend.

UConn All the Way!

And so, it is done. UConn started a little bit slow, but gained momentum and seriously outplayed Louisville for the 3rd time in as many meetings this year. Louisville looked good at the start, but couldn't sustain momentum against the smooth, efficient, disciplined Connecticut side. So they cap an undefeated season with a National Championship.
