The world football body, FIFA, has acknowledged the elections of a new Executive Committee of the
Indonesia Football Association (PSSI) on 9 July 2011 and the election of Djohar Arifin Husin as the
new PSSI president. According to a statement published on the FIFA website, the "elective congress,
observed by FIFA, AFC and AFF, was conducted in accordance with the PSSI statutes and the FIFA
They're at it again. Indonesian football seemingly can't make up its mind when it really wants to
be kicked out of FIFA and has now delayed the elections for a new head until 9 July, pushed back
from 30 June. The election, and accompanying congress, will be overseen by up to 1,400 security
personnel!
According to the 7.30 program of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Football Federation
Australia has "issued a statement saying it has expressed concern about the World Cup bid process
being flawed, and that while major reform of FIFA is overdue, it didn't see much merit in making an
empty gesture alongside a small minority at the congress.

for FIFA. With more media intensity than they should've expected directed towards next week's
Congress and the FIFA presidential elections, they now have an Ethics Committee meeting as the
opening act. Depending on the version of the story, either corruption is rampant among senior
officials on the Executive Committee including a presidential candidate, or this is.
Of course the link between Kaka and Carlo Ancelotti for the most part, maybe started the rumours of
Kaka coming to Chelsea in the first place when the player was looking to leave Milan. Now that

The CONCACAF Congress has been taking place in Miami this week, and the proceedings have been
dominated by the CONCACAF executive elections and the impending FIFA elections. To the surprise of
no one, Jack Warner ran unopposed for a sixth term as CONCACAF President, and he was elected
unaminously. The other positions on the executive committee were contested, and here are the
results: CONCACAF VP North America: Justino Compeán (Mexico) CONCACAF VP Central America: Ariel
Alvarado (Panama) CONCACAF VP Caribbean: Lisle Austin (Barbados) FIFA Executive Committee, Central
American region: Rafael Salguero (Guatemala) The Executive Committee also approved its own
expansion.

It looks like Real Madrid could enter the second leg of the Champions League semifinals against
Barcelona in worse shape than it is already in.
UEFA rejected Real Madrid's new complaints on Barcelona on Monday, and has instead opted to
examine six combined charges on the two teams later this week, five of which are against Real
Madrid.
